Tone-arms; horns in cases.-The tone-arm is of smaller internal diameter than usual and gradually expands to its connection with a long tapering horn of at least three times the length of the tone arm. so as to obtain loud reproduction with little distortion. In the example given, the tonearm expands from 1.1 to 2.3 centimeters and has a length of 28 to 37 centimeters.
