Abstract

A child (13, 29) harness (15, 18, 1) is configured to retain a child (13, 29) on the lap of a seated adult (12) by having a first elongate belt (19, 2) section adapted to be releasably secured around at least part of an adult (12) 's torso and a second elongate belt (20, 3) section adapted to be releasably secured around at least part of a child (13, 29) 's torso. When the harness (15, 18, 1) is in use the first and second belt (20, 2, 3) sections together form two adjacent loops in a figure eight configuration. A sheet extends from a belt (2, 3) section such that the sheet covers at least part of an adult (12) 's lap when the harness (15, 18, 1) is in use.
