Abstract
A smoke and heat detector having two different coloured indicators 1, 2, to show which emission has been detected. When a hazardous condition is detected, the device activates a safety cut-out. The sensing device is connected to a printed circuit board 9 which trips the power supply to devices include a plug base 11, a gas solenoid 12, and a ventilation fan 13. The power supply can be reinstated to the switched off devices via a reset button 10. The smoke/heat detector is operated by a 12V power supply and has a fire alarm.
Description
Gas and Ventilation safety Cut-out 1. Figure 01 - Smoke/heat detector with alarm, proposes a design with two different colour code, Red colour for heat detector and Gray for Smoke detector. This is to provide a quick understanding at a glance between the heat detector and smoke detector which is used for different applications. Colour code provides a better understanding for non-technical people too. This is operate by 12V power supply. 2. Figure 02 - Ribbon cable with easy fitting clips in both end, this can be fixed easily on to the ceiling/wall, also can be covered with a conduit pipe . Used to drive 12V supply to the PCB during a detection. 3. Figure 03 - The PCB unit and 13A plug socket, the PCB circuit trips off the plug socket once a fire alarm detects a hazardous condition. This provide protection. 4. Figure 04 - 230V Gas solenoid which is connected in series with the PCB will also turn off for protection. 5. Figure 05 - Ventilation fan which is connected in series with the PCB will also turn off for protection.
Product: Gas Solenoid and Ventilations fans are considered as examples which is important to be switched off immediately once a fire has been detected. The power can be back to normal by reset the push button in PCB.
Product - Figure 1, 2 and 3 Fire safety cut-out.
Safety Effected Equipments - External equipments.
Invention is - fire safety main supply cut out.
Claims (5)
1. Smoke or heat detection system design with two different colour code, Red colour for heat indication and Gray for Smoke indication, simple colour code is given to understand even non technical people. This is operate by 12V power supply( Figure 01}.
2. Ribbon cable with easy fitting clips in both end, this can be stick to wall and roof or can be wired with conduit pipe( Figure 02).
3. 13A Plug base with inbuilt P.C.B, this P.C.B delivering 12V to smoke/ heat detector for maintain the operation, once detector activate 12V power delivering to PCB in plug base to trip off the 230V to plug base, this PCB can be reset to back to normal operation( Figure 03).
4. 230V Gas solenoid, due to fire activation no power available to plug base, and gas solenoid will de-energise the no gas passing trough to gas equipments( Figure 04).
5. Ventilation fan stop due to no power from plug base, if ventilation cut off, stop the fire spread ( Figure 05).
