Abstract

An aesthetic figure and muscle enhancing upper body garment comprising one or more compression regions and one or more padded regions; wherein the garment is configured to provide the wearer with the appearance of an enhanced masculine physique. The compression regions will preferably be arranged to reduce the appearance of excessive body fat in typical problem areas that include the waist, breast and stomach areas. The padded regions will preferably be arranged to enhance the appearance of the main upper body muscle groups which include the Pectoralis Major, Deltoids, Biceps and Triceps muscle groups. The main garment will consist of a knitted fabric in which the said compression and padded regions will be arranged. The shaped pads will preferably be removable and are arranged within pockets located on the garment.

Description

MALE ENHANCE TOP
Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a garment of clothing for men.
Background of the Invention
Today, we live in a society where image and body-shape is becoming increasingly important to people. Some people execute a diet plan, others join a gym and even pay for surgery. However the vast majority of us do not have the time, money or often the motivation required to obtain a more desirable body shape.
Summary of the Invention
In view of the above problem the present invention provides a garment of male clothing according to claim 1.
This invention has been conceived to create a quick and cost-effective solution to the issue described above. This invention is an upper-body muscle enhancing and compression under-garment designed for the male sex, which reduces the appearance of excess body fat in the stomach and pectorals and creates the illusion of enhanced body muscle appearance in the upper body area. The aim is for the wearer to feel more confident about their body shape by wearing this under-garment.
An upper-body muscle enhancing compression garment for the male sex, with inbuilt self-fabric pouches positioned on the bodice and sleeve, housing moulded pads, which enhance these said (bodice and sleeve) areas i.e. chest, upper arm and shoulders.
An upper-body muscle enhancing compression garment for the male sex according to claim 1, in which the self-fabric pouches are permanently attached to the main garment.
An upper-body muscle enhancing compression garment for the male sex according to claim 1, in which the moulded pads are designed to mimic the major muscle groups in the areas of the chest, upper arm and shoulders in order to enhance these said muscle groups on the wearer.
An upper-body muscle enhancing compression garment for the male sex according to any of the preceding claims, in which the moulded pads are housed in the selffabric pouches which are permanently attached to the main garment.
An upper-body muscle enhancing compression garment for the male sex according to any of the preceding claims, in which the material of the garment compresses the wearer’s upper body.
Brief Description of the Drawings
The present invention will now be described with reference to the preferred embodiment shown in the drawings, wherein:
Figure 1 shows a front view of the garment of the preferred embodiment; Figure 2 shows a back view of the garment of the preferred embodiment; Figure 3 shows a side view of the garment of the preferred embodiment; and Figure 4 shows a view of the inside of the front of the garment of the preferred embodiment.
Detailed Description of the Preferred Embodiment
This invention is an upper-body muscle enhancing compression garment designed for the male sex. This invention is a body moulding under-garment that reduces the appearance of excess body fat and creates the illusion of enhanced body muscle appearance in the upper body area. To clarify, the functions of this invention are as follows:- 1. A compression undergarment designed to reduce the appearance of excessive body fat in typical problem areas, such as the stomach, back (Fig. 1, point 1 & Fig. 2 point 6) and the general breast area. 2. To create a muscle appearance enhancement for the main upper body muscles (i.e. Pectoralis Major muscle, Deltoid muscle, Biceps muscle and Triceps muscle.) Please refer to points; 12, 3,4 in Fig. 1 and 5 in Fig. 2)
The garment consists of several parts:
In Figure 1, the front bodice, 7 and in Figure 2, the back bodice, 13 are made from a knitted fabric because this will stretch and cling to the body. The proposed fabric is a stretch Polyester mix, composition 71% Polyester 14% Polyamide 15% Elastane but could also be a different composition depending on range on available fabrics. An alternative fabric is a stretch Modal mix, composition 65% Modal 20% Polyamide 15% Elastane which gives a softer handfeel but could be more expensive. The knitted fabric is designed to compress and therefore reduce excess body fat. Sections of the bodice, 1 (Fig.1) and 6 (Fig. 2) are knitted with a rib, which adds further compression and support to these areas. The bodice is sewn together at the side seams, 10 (Fig.3) and the shoulder seams, 14 (Fig. 1). The neck of the bodice, 11 (Fig.1) is bound in the same knitted fabric as the bodice. The bodice is hemmed as indicated by the stitch line (see key). The stitch line is indicated by a dotted line on the drawings.
In Figure 1, sewn to the armhole of the bodice are short sleeves 8, 9, made from the same knitted fabric as the bodice. The cuffs of the sleeves are hemmed as indicated by the stitch line.
In Figure 4, behind the front of the upper bodice, two knitted fabric pieces are attached to form two pockets. A moulded pad (proposed material is 100% silicone as this has a natural feel, similar to flesh, but another material such as foam could be chosen during development) is inserted into each knitted fabric pocket, 2, at the chest of the bodice, 12 (Fig.1) to enhance the pectoral muscles. The pocket may then be sewn up to enclose the moulded pad. Another version of the garment may be developed where part of the pocket is left open so the moulded pad can be removed.
On the inside of each sleeve, a similar technique is used and a knitted fabric piece is attached to form a pocket. In Figure 1, a moulded pad is inserted into each pocket to enhance the deltoid muscle 3, the biceps muscle 4, and the triceps muscle 5 (Fig. 2). Another version of the garment may be developed where part of the pocket is left open so the moulded pad can be removed.
Several versions of this garment may be developed. During product development, other construction methods may be discovered. For example, the fabric is knitted, and there are ways of making a garment seamless with knitted products. This may highlight an improved garment construction where no side seams or shoulder seams or indeed separate pocket pieces are needed. Once development has begun, if another method of construction is made known to us, the original construction may change. However, the functionality of the product will remain the same - to enhance the muscles and compress areas noted above in point 1 of the description.
Other versions of the garment may be developed to give the wearer different options of how much the muscles can be enhanced by. For example, one version to give the wearer a minor enhanced muscular appearance. Another version to give a slightly more enhanced muscular appearance, and another version to give an extreme enhanced muscular appearance. Figure 1 can be used to visualise these other versions as the appearance will be the same, but the moulded pads inserted into the chest and sleeve pockets will be larger. The wearer can choose from the three versions of the enhance top depending on what look he prefers.
