Abstract

A locking device comprises a fixing tube (2) on which an object can be arranged. The fixing tube (2) has a through hole (21) for the tube (3) and a locking sleeve assembly (43) attached to the through hole (21) of the fixing tube (2). The locking sleeve assembly (43) comprises a locking sleeve attachable to the tube (3). The locking sleeve is provided with a fixing member. The locking sleeve assembly (43) further comprises a casing (411) covering the locking sleeve, wherein the casing (411) is provided with a strip opening (412) or slot for the fixing member so that the fixing member protrudes beyond the outer wall of the casing (411), wherein the opening is formed to pivotably guide the fixing member. Description

LOCKING DEVICE WITH ADJUSTABLE POSITIONS OF LOCKING HANDWHEEL
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to the field of quick release connecting mechanism, particularly the locking device of which the handwheel position can be adjusted as required.
DESCRIPTION OF THE PRIOR ART
In the Chinese utility model patent CN2884905Y, seat frame 3 and telescoping leg 4 can be fixed by locking device 42 jointly with locking handwheel 41. This kind of connection is characterized by conveniently adjusting the length of telescoping leg by tightening or loosening the locking handwheel, and saving space in transport by removing the telescoping leg. However, the locking handwheel in such structure lies in both sides of seat frame 3 and protrudes outwards, occupying large space and increasing packing costs. EP 2 957 172 A1 shows a fishing seat box. In the field of sport fishing it is a known way to use fishing seats on which the sportsman sits for the purpose of fishing In the case of competition fishing seat boxes including a frame to which a seat can be fastened and a footplate in which the sportsman can place his feet. The fishing seat boxes have support legs for keeping the frame and footplate raised above a supporting surface, such as a river bank.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
To overcome the shortcoming of existing technique, this invention provides a locking device with more reasonable structure that, without increasing costs, enables the locking handwheel not to occupy space in non-working state and to conveniently adjust its position in working state.
To realize this aim, the present invention adopts the following technical schemes: a locking device for adjustable positioning of an object on a tube, the locking device comprises a fixing tube on which the object can be arranged, the fixing tube having a through hole for the tube and a locking sleeve assembly attached to the through hole of the fixing tube, the locking sleeve assembly comprises a locking sleeve attachable to the tube, the locking sleeve is provided with a fixing member, the locking sleeve assembly further comprises a casing covering the locking sleeve, wherein the casing is provided with an strip opening for the fixing member so that the fixing member protrudes beyond the outer wall of the casing, wherein the opening is formed to pivotable guide the fixing member.
In one embodiment the locking device with adjustable position of locking handwheel, comprising a fixing tube and the locking assembly coupled in the end of the fixing tube, and the said fixing tube is provided with a through hole a for the locked tube to penetrate; the said locking assembly is provided with a casing, a locking sleeve module and a locking handwheel; the said locking sleeve module comprises an annular locking sleeve with its inner diameter matching with the outer diameter of the locked tube, and the screw stem fixedly welded onto the outer wall of the locked tube; the said casing is fixedly coupled in the end of fixing tube, and its side wall is formed with a strip opening a that can be crossed by the said screw stem to limit the rotational range of the screw stem. The said locking sleeve is connected with the said screw stem on the outer side of casing through screw thread.
Preferably, the fixing member comprises a screw stem attached to the locking sleeve.
Preferably, the locking sleeve with the screw stem can be rotated in the space of the strip opening.
Preferably, the fixing member further comprises a screw nut.

Preferably, the outer end of the said screw stem far from the locking sleeve is formed with a screw connecting hole and the said screw accommodating hole can be used to connect a brazier head screw to block locking handwheel disengaging from the said screw stem. The screw stem can prevent locking handwheel from loosening and falling out.
Preferably, the said locking handwheel is provided with an inserted nut coupled with the said screw stem; the rear end of inserted nut of the locking handwheel is formed with a screw accommodating hole to accommodate the brazier head screw; the rear end of locking handwheel is fixedly connected with a handwheel cap to cover the said screw accommodating hole. After the locking handwheel is connected with the screw stem, the handwheel cap can be mounted on the locking handwheel to improve its integral appearance.
Preferably, the rear end of the said locking handwheel is formed with a mounting notch to accommodate the said handwheel cap. The periphery of the mounting notch is formed with at least two clamping openings for the handwheel cap, and the inner side the handwheel cap is formed with the clamping adapters to match with the said clamping openings.
Preferably, the said casing is made of plastics, and it is provided with a U-type metal reinforcing member that fits the inner surface of casing wall and is fixedly connected with the fixing tube. In the position corresponding to the strip opening a, the U-type reinforcing member is provided with a strip opening b 422, the form and size of which exactly match with those of strip opening a. When the locking assembly is in locking state, the U-type reinforcing member bears the pressure from the direction of locking handwheel to prevent the plastic casing from distorting and damaging.
Preferably, the said fixing tube is a tube with rectangular end section. Two facing surfaces of the wall of fixing tube are provided with the said through holes a, and the other two facing surfaces of the fixing tube are provided with rivet connecting holes; the said casing is formed with a through hole b in the position corresponding to the through hole, and is formed with rivet hole a in the position corresponding to the rivet connecting hole; the U-type reinforcing member is formed with rivet hole b in the position corresponding to the rivet connecting hole; the said rivet hole a, b and rivet connecting hole can be fixedly connected with rivet. Using such structure, the U-type reinforcing member and the casing realize the connection with the fixing tube at the same time and simplify the procedure of installation.
Preferably, the said fixing tube is a rectangular tube. The said through hole a is provided in the two facing surfaces of the wall of fixing tube; the fixing tube is formed with notches at the ends of the other two facing surfaces of the wall; both ends of the said strip opening a reach the root of the notches. The said notches increase the length of the strip opening a, allowing the screw stem to have a larger adjusting range along the strip opening a.
Preferably, the side wall of said casing corresponding to the end of fixing tube takes an arc shape. Slightly after loosening the locking handwheel, an operator can slide the casing along its arc shape to conveniently adjust the position of locking handwheel.
Preferably, the said screw stem is provided with a gasket in the position between the outer wall of casing and the locking handwheel, and the surface of the said gasket towards the casing is an arc matching with the side wall of the casing. The said gasket enables the pressure generated after tightening of locking handwheel to uniformly transfer onto the casing, thus avoiding wear caused by the direct contact and locking between the casing and the locking handwheel.
Preferably, the upper and lower ends of the said locking sleeve take the form of bell mouth with wide outside and narrow inside. Such a structure is convenient for the tube to be tightened to cross the locking sleeve.
Compared to the existing technique, the present invention can produce a beneficial effect: according to the design, the side wall of casing is provided with a strip opening a, and the screw stem of locking sleeve assembly can be freely moved in a certain range; thus when the locking assembly is in non-working state, the locking handwheel together with the screw stem can be moved to the side position of fixing tube along the strip opening a, thus reducing the space occupied by the fixing tube in the length direction; when the locking assembly tightens the tube, an operator can freely adjust the position of the locking handwheel along the strip opening a until reaching an appropriate position, then tighten the locking handwheel.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
Reference will now be in greater detail to exemplary embodiments of the present invention with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Example 1
As shown in Fig. 1 to Fig.7, this embodiment sample is a locking device with adjustable position of locking handwheel, comprising fixing tube 2 and the locking assembly 4 coupled in the end of the fixing tube, and the said fixing tube is provided with a through hole a 21 for the locked tube 3 to penetrate; the said locking assembly comprises a casing 41, a locking sleeve module 43 and a locking handwheel 45; the said locking sleeve module comprises an annular locking sleeve 431 with its inner diameter matching with the outer diameter of the locked tube, and the screw stem 432 fixedly welded onto the outer wall of the locked tube; the said casing is fixedly coupled in the end of fixing tube, and its side wall is formed with a strip opening a 412 that can be crossed by the said screw stem to limit the rotational range of the screw stem; the said locking sleeve is connected with the said screw stem on the outer side of casing through screw thread.
The outer end of the said screw stem far from the locking sleeve is formed with a screw connecting hole 433 and the said screw accommodating hole can be used to connect a brazier head screw 46 to block locking handwheel disengaging from the said screw stem. The screw stem can prevent locking handwheel from loosening and falling out.
The said locking handwheel is provided with inserted nut 451 coupled with the said screw stem; the rear end of inserted nuts of the locking handwheel is formed with a screw accommodating hole 452 to accommodate a brazier head screw; the rear end of locking handwheel is fixedly coupled with a handwheel cap 47 to cover the said screw accommodating hole. After the locking handwheel is connected with screw stem, the handwheel cap can be mounted on the locking handwheel to improve its integral appearance.
The rear end of the said locking handwheel is formed with a mounting notch to accommodate the said handwheel cap. The periphery of the mounting notch is formed with at least two clamping openings for the handwheel cap, and the inner side the handwheel cap is formed with the clamping adapters to match with the said clamping openings.
The said casing is made of plastics, and it is provided with a U-type metal reinforcing member 42 that fits the inner surface of casing wall and is fixedly connected with the fixing tube. In the position corresponding to the strip opening a, the U-type reinforcing member is provided with a strip opening b 422, the form and size of which exactly match with those of strip opening a. When the locking assembly is in locking state, the U-type reinforcing member bears the pressure from the direction of locking handwheel to prevent the plastic casing from distorting and damaging.
The said fixing tube is a tube with rectangular end section. Two facing surfaces of the wall of fixing tube are provided with the said through holes a, and the other two facing surfaces of the fixing tube are provided with rivet connecting holes 23; the said casing is formed with a through hole b 413 in the position corresponding to the through hole, and is formed with rivet hole a 411 in the position corresponding to the rivet connecting hole; the U-type reinforcing member is formed with rivet hole b 421 in the position corresponding to the rivet connecting hole; the said rivet hole a, rivet hole b and rivet connecting hole can be fixedly connected with rivet 24. Using such structure, the U-type reinforcing member and the casing realize the connection with the fixing tube at the same time and simplify the procedure of installation.
The said fixing tube is a rectangular tube. The said through hole a is provided in two facing surfaces of the wall of fixing tube; the fixing tube is formed with notches 22 at the ends of the other two facing surfaces of the wall; both ends of the said strip opening a reach the root of the notches. The said notches increase the length of the strip opening a, allowing the screw stem to have a larger adjusting range along the strip opening a.
The side wall of said casing corresponding to the end of fixing tube takes an arc shape. Slightly after loosening the locking handwheel, an operator can slide the casing along its arc shape to conveniently adjust the position of locking handwheel.
The said screw stem is provided with a gasket 44 in the position between the outer wall of casing and the locking handwheel, and the surface of the said gasket towards the casing is an arc matching with the side wall of the casing. The said gasket enables the pressure generated after tightening of locking handwheel to uniformly transfer onto the casing, thus avoiding wear caused by the direct contact and locking between the casing and the locking handwheel.
The upper and lower ends of the said locking sleeve take the form of bell mouth with wide outside and narrow inside. Such a structure is convenient for the tube to be tightened to cross the locking sleeve.
The installing procedure is as follows: firstly insert the U-type reinforcing member in the plastic casing, then force the screw stem of locking sleeve assembly to cross the U-type reinforcing member and strip openings b, a in the casing; the locking sleeve is inside the casing; put the gasket on the screw stem, and screw the locking handwheel onto the screw stem until the end of screw stem exceeds the outer end of the nut, and screw the brazier head screw in the screw connecting hole in the rear end of the screw stem; then cover the handwheel cap to the rear end of the locking handwheel, and finally insert the end of fixing tube in the casing; when the rivet connecting hole is aligned with rivet hole a, b, rivet them firmly, thus completing the installation of the locking assemble and the fixing tube.
In working, loosen the locking handwheel and insert the tube to be tightened in the through hole a, b; tighten the locking handwheel to force the locking sleeve to pull the tightened tube to move outwards along the screw stem. On the other hand, a local pressure is generated between the tightened tube and the through hole a of the fixing tube, and meanwhile a frictional force along the length direction of tightened tube is generated between the tightened tube and the through hole a of the fixing tube, thus embodying the locking of the tightened tube.
In an advantageous embodiment the object (1) is a footplate (1) of a fishing seat box provided with at least one support leg (3). The footplate (1) is provided with a fixing tube (2) and the support leg (3) is adjustable fixable on the fixing tube (2) via a locking assembly (4). The locking sleeve assembly (43) comprises a locking sleeve (431) attachable to the tube (3) and the locking sleeve (31) is provided with a fixing member The locking sleeve assembly (43) further comprises a casing (411) covering the locking sleeve (431), wherein the casing (411) is provided with an strip opening (412, 422) for the fixing member so that the fixing member protrudes beyond the outer wall of the casing (411). The opening is formed to pivotable guide the fixing member.
Example 2
As shown in Fig. 1 to Fig.7, the present invention is a connecting mechanism to embody the locking device in Fig. 1, comprising frame 1 and a fixing tube to fixedly connect the frame 1 on one side and both ends exceeding the side of frame. When the locking assembly is in non-working state, the locking handwheel together with the connected screw stem can be rotated to the position between the side of fixing tube and the side of frame, thus saving space.

A locking device (4) for adjustable positioning of an object (1) on a tube (3), the locking device (4) comprises a fixing tube (2) on which the object (1) can be arranged, the fixing tube (2) having a through hole (21) for the tube (3) and a locking sleeve assembly (43) attached to the through hole (21) of the fixing tube (2), the locking sleeve assembly (43) comprises a locking sleeve (431) attachable to the tube (3), the locking sleeve (431) is provided with a fixing member, the locking sleeve assembly (43) further comprises a casing (411) covering the locking sleeve (431), wherein the casing (411) is provided with an strip opening (412, 422) for the fixing member so that the fixing member protrudes beyond the outer wall of the casing (411), wherein the opening is formed to pivotable guide the fixing member.
2. Locking device according to claim 1, wherein the fixing member comprises a screw stem (432) attached to the locking sleeve (431).
3. Locking device according to claims 1 or 2, wherein the locking sleeve (431) with the screw stem (432) can be rotated in the space of the strip opening (412, 422).
4. Locking device according to any of claims 1 to 3, wherein the fixing member further comprises a screw nut.
5. Locking device according to claim 4, wherein the screw nut is formed as a handwheel (45).
6. Locking device according to any of claims 1 to 5, wherein the said casing (411) is made of plastics.
7. Locking device according to any of claims 1 to 6, wherein the locking device (4) is attached to the fixing tube (2).
8. Locking device according to any of claims 1 to 7, wherein the casing (411) is provided with a U-shaped metal reinforcing member (42).
9. Locking device according to claim 8, wherein the U-shaped metal reinforcing member (42) is provided with a strip opening b (422) matching with strip opening a (412).
10. Locking device according to claim 7, wherein the reinforcing member (42) is attached to the fixing tube (2).
11. Fishing seat box, comprising a footplate (1) and at least one support leg (3), wherein the footplate (1) is provided with a fixing tube (2) and wherein the support leg (3) is adjustable fixable on the fixing tube (2) via a locking assembly (4), the locking sleeve assembly (43) comprising a locking sleeve (431) attachable to the tube (3), the locking sleeve (431) is provided with a fixing member, the locking sleeve assembly (43) further comprises a casing (411) covering the locking sleeve (431), wherein the casing (411) is provided with an strip opening (412, 422) for the fixing member so that the fixing member protrudes beyond the outer wall of the casing (411), wherein the opening is formed to pivotable guide the fixing member.
