Abstract

A barrier material suitable for use against rodents comprises stainless steel mesh 2 sandwiched in between two pieces of flexible rubber 1, 3. The three sheets or layers can be bonded together to form a single flexible sheet. The material may be adhered to moving mechanisms and objects such as door and lifts without impeding their functionality. The material may be waterproof and rot-proof, and may be suitable for use in wet environments such as sewers.

Description

An example of the invention will now be described by referring to the accompanying drawings. Figure 1 shows all three materials before bonding together.
Figure 2 shows all three materials bonded together according to the invention.
The materials shown are as follows - 1 and 3 are rubber sheets 2 is a stainless steel mesh 1 2 & 3 are bonded together to form one flexible sheet.

    1. A waterproof, rot-proof rodent barrier materia! constructed-from stainless steel mesh sandwiched in between 2 pieces of flexible* galvanised rubber :

The flexible nature of the material according to claim 1, allows it to be adhered to moving mechanisms and objects without impeding the functionality of said mechanisms or objects; for example, hut not exclusively, doors, security shutters and scissor lifts. ?>. The waterproof, rot-proof nature of the material according to claim 1, con be used to pest proof drains., sewers and other wet environments due to its, waterproof and rot proof . .........properties·:: —
  3. 4. The stainless steel according to claim 1, will prevent rodents from gnawing through the indent barrier materia! as they are unabie to gnaw through stainless steel.
