253,729. Underwood, E. W. July 10, 1925. Limbs, artificial.-The sockets of artificial limbs are provided with annular grooves c which may be connected by passages d, as shown in Fig. 1. The annular grooves may, as shown in Fig. 4, be used in combination with helical grooves p, as described in Specification 249,269. The socket is closed at the bottom and provided with a manually-operated valve l.
