Abstract

The swivel mount has a ground plate 3 with a first post 5, which may tubular; a number of captive bearings 10 on the upper surface of the plate; a second plate 11 is supported on the bearings and has a through-hole bordered by the vertical tube or mast 13, into which the first post extends; and a synthetic polymer tubular insert 16 positioned between the two posts. The mounting plate may be square in shape and have bolt holes located at each corner, and the second plate may be circular. The lower end of the second post may be flush with the underside of the second plate and the gap between the two posts may be around 5mm
