Abstract
253,318. Gammell, S. J. May 2, 1925. Casting walls in situ.-Hollow walls are cast in situ by the use of removable cores 1 which rest on bridge-pieces 2 forming bonds between the sides of the wall, and the sections of the cores are separated by distance-pieces 5 formed of flexible material of rectangular tubular cross section, and which may be either removed or left in position in the wall. The distance-pieces 5 may be supported on the bridge-pieces 2 or on separate wall-ties 6. The cores are provided with wedge expanders, and the distance-pieces may be formed of mating portions of sheet metal of channel-section.
