Abstract

Elevatable cabinet set 2 comprises an outer cabinet 3 with an opening 34 in the bottom, an inner cabinet 4 mounted inside the outer that can elevate or descend through the opening, and a driving unit 5 mounted inside the outer to power the elevation. The cabinets consist of adjusting frames which may comprise rods detachably fixed to one another, so that the dimensions of the set may be altered to suit the installation environment. The driving unit may comprise flexible belts 52 attached to reels 51 and to opposite ends of the inner cabinet, and a motor 54 to provide the force to raise and lower the inner cabinet. The motor may be controlled by a switch, which may include a wireless transmitter and receiver. A flexible protective member may prevent a signal wire from being damaged by the vertical movement of the cabinet.

ELEVATABLE CABINET SET:
FIELD OF TIlE INVENTION
[0001] The present invention relates to a cabinet set, and more particularly to an elevatable cabinet set.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0002] With reference to FIGS. I and 2 for a conventional elevatahie storage cabinet, the conventional elevatable storage cabinet I comprises an outer cabinet ii, an inner cabinet 12 housed by the outer cabinet 11, and a driving unit 13 for driving the inner cabinet 12 to elevate with respect to the outer cabinet. 11. The inner cabinet. 12 includes a plurality of slides 121 formed on a side adjacent to the outer cabinet II, and a plurality of pulleys 122 for moving the inner cabinet 12 up and down along the slides 121 respectively, and the driving unit 13 includes a plurality of halyards 131 wound around the pulleys 22, and a motor 132 for driving the halyard 13 1.
[0003] After the outer cabinet II with an appropriate size is installed at a desired installing position such as a val I or a ceiling, the inner cabinet *12 with an appropriate size is installed in the outer cabinet 11. V/hen a user starts the motor 132, the motor 132 drives the halyard 131 to be wound or released, so that Ic inner cabinet 12 may be ascended or descended with respect to the outer cabinet 11 arid provided for the user to store objects.
[0004] Since the outer cabinet 11 and the inner cabinet 12 of a conventional elevatable storage cabinet I generally come with a fixed size, therefOre if' a user wants to move the storage cabinet I from the original living place to the other or needs a renovation of a house, the original storage cabinet I may not fit the size, and the user has to buy a new storage cabinet I.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0005] Therefore, it is a primary objective of the present invention to provide an elevatable cabinet set with an adjustable size to fit different using environments.
[0006] The elevatable cabinet set of the present invention comprises an outer cabinet, an inner cabinet, and a driving unit.
[00071 The outer cabinet includes two main frames with adjustable size and adjustable gap between the two main frames, Iwo adjusting frames respectively and movably coupled to the main frames, a bottom opening formed at the bottom of the outer cabinet and defined jointly by the main frames arid the aducting flames, and an installation space communicated with the bottom opening. The inner cabinet is accommodated in the outer cabinet and elevatable with respect to the outer cabinet. The driving unit is controlled to drive the inner cabinet to elevate with respeci: to the outer cabinel:.
[0008] Thereffire, the present invention has the following effect: The size of the main frames and the gap between the main frames may be adjusted and matched with the adjusting frames, and the main frames may be movably connected to achieve the effect of adjusting the size to fit different using environments.

[0014] With reference to FIGS. 2 to 4 for an elevatabie cabinet set 2 of a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the eleva.tabie cabinet set 2 comprises an outer cabinet 3, an inner cabinet 4 accommodated in the outer cabinet 3, a driving unit 5 controlled to drive the inner cabinet 4 to elevate with respect to the outer cabinet 3, and a switch (not shown in the figure) for starting or stopping the driving unit S [00151 The outer cabinet 3 is installed at an appropriate position such as a wall and a ceiling, and the outer cabinet 3 includes two main frames 3 1 apart from each other, to adjusting frames 32 respectively and nio'ably coupled to die main flames 31, a plurality of outet fixing units 33 for detachably fixing the main fl-ames 3 1 and the adjusting frames 32, a bottom opening 34 formed at the bottom of the outer cabinet 3 and defined jointly by the main frames 31 and the adjusting frames 32, and an installation space 35 communicated with the bottom opening 34, and a plurality of support frames 36 disposed at the top of the installation space 35 and coupled to the main frames 3 1 and the adjusting frames 32 to form a substantially U-shape.

[00191 The dnvmg unit $ includes a plmality of reels 51 passed and mslalled to the support frames 36, a plurality of traction members 52 wound around the reels 51 and having both end coupled to two opposite sides of the inner cabinet 4 respectiveLy, a protective member 53 substantiafly in the shape of a bent strip and installed between one of the support frames 36 and the inner cabinet 4 fbr storing a circuit (such as an electric wire or a. signal 1ine, and a motor 54 for providing a driving force, such that when a user starts the motor 54 through a witcli, the traction members 52 are driven by the motor 54 to pull the inner cabinet 4, such that the inner cabinet 4 may pass through the bottom opening 34 and e1eate with respect to the outer cabinet 3 In addition the guide wheels 43 are provided for guiding the inner frame 41 to elevate in an extending direction of the heightwise support iods 312 [00201 In a descending status as shown in FIG. 3, the inner frame 41 is near the bottom opening 34, and the protective member 53 is bent relatively less, and thus is relatively straighter, and the holiom of the protective member 53 abuts the inner cabinet 4. In an ascending status as shown in FIG, 4, the inner frame 41 ascends and moves away from the bottom opening 34, while driving the bottom of the protective member 53 to move upward, so as to bend the protective member 53 to abut the top of the inner cabinet 4. The stored circuit is protected by the protective member 53, so that it will not be tangled or damaged during the upanddown moving process.
[0021] After the elevatable cabinet set 2 of the present. invention is produced in batch according to specified dimensions and installed for practical use, a user may set the gap between the lengthwise support rods 3 ii and the hcightwise support rods 3 12 of the main frames 3 1 based on the height and width of the using environment, and the outer fixing units 33 may be detachably coupled to one another, and then the user sets the gap between the main frames 3 1, such that the sepaialed main frames 3 1 may move along the adjusting frames 32 The user may select an appropriate position of the transverse support rod 321 of the adjusting frames 32 to detachably connect the outer fixing unit 33 according to a different depth of a different using environment. In the meantime, the inner cabinet 4 may be adjusted accordingly and installed into the installation space 35 of the outer cabinet 3 after the user sets the outer cabinet 3 as above, and the inner transverse rods 411 and the inner lengthwise was 412 are detachably coupled to each other by the inner fixing unit, 42 according to the gap between the lengthwise support rods 3 11 and the transverse support rods 321. Therefore, the invention provides the outer cabinet 3 and the jailer cabinet 4 in compliance with the installation requirements. Even if there is a need of making another adjustment, the user simply needs to remove the outer fixing units 33 and the inner fixing units 42 and adjust the connecting position as required. Obviously, the invention is not limited to the specific size of the outer cabinet 11 and the inner cabinet 12 availablc m the maiket, and capable of oveicornmg the trouble of buying another outer cabinet 11 and another inner cabinet 12 to fit the installation space after the cabinet set is moved or a. house is renovated. After the size of the surface of the cah1nct is confirmcd, the shelf boards 44 are manufactured accordingly, so that the invention can prevent any unnecessary waste of the board material.
[0022] Preferably, the traction members 52 of this preferred embodiment are belts made of a flexible material such as canvas, and this the traction members 52 will not be broken easily in the elevating process, and the protective member 53 is a hollow chain in contact with the inner frame 41 arid elevates or descends together with the inner frame 41, so that the protective member 53 is capable of preventing the stored circuit from being tangled or damaged during the elevating process of the inner frame 41.

In addition, the switch may be used to control the motor 54 by a cable touch method, but this skill is a prior art, and thus will not be repeated. The switch of this preferred embodiment may be set to a wireless control or a cable touch mode for controlling the motor 54 accordmg to the user's preference and facilitating the user to drive the inner cabmet 4 to ele% ate with rcspcct to the outer cabinet 3.
[0024] in summation of the description above, the present invention may adjust the size of the outer cabinet 3 and the inner cabinet 4 the elevatable cabinet set 2 through the lengthwise support rod 311, the heightwise support rod 312, the traas erce support rod 12 1 the inner P ansverse rod 4!!, the inner lengthwise rod 412, and the outer fixing unit 33 and the inner fixing unit 42 of the outer cabinet 3, inner cabinet 4 of the outer cabinet 3 and the inner cabinet 4 according to the user's using environment, Therefore, the invention can overcome the drawbacks of the conventional cabiiiet with the outer cabinet ii and the inner cabinet 12 with uriadjustable size, and the unnecessary waste caused when the size of the cabinet does not fit the using environment.

Claims (6)

  1. CLAIMSAn elevatable cabinet set, comprising: an outer cabinet, including two main frames apart from cacti other, two adjusting frames movably coupled to the main frames, a bottom opening being formed at the bottom of the outer cabinet and defined by the main frames and the adjusting frames; an inner cabinet, passable through the bottom opening, and mo ably installed in an installation pace such that the inner cabinet is elevatable with respect to the outex eamnet, and a Unving unit, installed in the instaLlation space and controlled for dning the inner cabinet to elevate with respect to the outer cabinet.

The elevatable cabinet set as claimed iii claim I, wherein each main frame includes two lengthwise support rods apart fiom each other, and two heightwise support rods apart from each other and matched with the lengthwise support rods, and each adjusting frame includes two transverse support rods respectively and movably matched with the two separated main frames, and the outer cabinet further includes a plurality of outer fixing units fot detachably fixing the lengthwise support rods, the heightwise support rods and the transverse support rods.

The elevatable cabinet set as claimed in claim 2, wherein each outer fixing unit includes an outer fixing member and a plurality of outer cabinet screws, and the outer fixing member is fixed to one of the lengthwise support rods and the corresponsive heightwise support rod or the corresponsive transverse support rod, and each outer cabinet screw is passed and installed to the outer fixing member and the cot-responsive lengthwise support rod, the heightwise support rod or the transverse support rod.
  4. 4. The clevatable cabinet set as claimed in any of claims 1. to 3, wherein the inner cabinet includes an inner frame disposed opposite to the main frames of the outer cabinet and elevatably installed in the installation space and ovably coupled to the main frames and the adjusting frames.

The elevatable cabinet set as claimed in claim 4, wherein the inner frame includes two mner transverse rods airanged apart from each othet in the diiection of transverse support rods and tso inner lengthwise rods arranged apart from each other in the direction of the lengthwise support rods and matched with the inner transverse rods, and the inner cabinet further includes a plurality of inner fixing units for detachably fixing the inner transverse rods and the inner lengthwise rods.
