Abstract

A maintenance unit for the flushing of buried drains by fluid or air comprising of a curved tube, height and length adjustable sections 3, bonding lugs 2, a threaded outfall 5 and a removable or push in cap 1.The height adjustable unit will preferably be installed at a variable distance, either horizontally or vertically from the buried drain and can accommodate mountings and different types of buried drain. The unit will be flush mounted to the surface and access will preferably be via a threaded or push-in removable cap. The threaded outfall will preferably be situated at the rear of the lower opening to facilitate cleaning by air pressure.

DESCRIPTION
Techflush Unit This invention relates to the flushing or maintenance of buried drains.
When installed at a maintenance service point) it facilitates the flushing of buried drains by use of fluid or air. This height adjustable unit can be installed at a variable distance either horizontally and vertically from the buried drain with the point of access via its removable threaded or push in cap that is flush mounted to verge, kerb or surrounding area. The unit can be fitted alongside a new installation of buried drains or as a retrofit option to the same and is designed to accommodate mountings while it bonds to the material it is cast in. Comprising of stainless steel or plastic tubing, the unit accommodates different types of buried drains while the manufactured materials provide a watertight unit with bonding lugs for added adhesion.
This invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawing in which: Figure 1 shows the Techflush Unit The Tech Flush unit's removable or push in cap as in 1 in Figure 1, facilitates access to the joint when flush mounted to the verge, kerb or surrounding area and comprises of stainless steel or plastic.
The height adjustable section of the unit as in 3 in Figure 1 means that it can be installed at a variable distance, either horizontally or vertically from the buried drain with connection to the drain or service at 4 of Figure 1.
Designed to accommodate mountings, the unit is able to bond to the material it is cast in and comprises of bonding lugs as in 2 in Figure ito provide a watertight unit with added adhesion.
The threaded outfall point at the rear of the lower opening as in 5 of Figure 1 is connected to the unit for the purposes of flushing the buried drain by use of fluid of air.

Claims (6)

  1. CLAIMS1. A maintenance flushing unit to facilitate the flushing of buried drains by fluid or air that is height adjustable with a removable cap, which can accommodate different types of buried drains to be connected alongside a new installation or as a retrofit option and be installed at variable distance from the buried drain.
  2. 2. The flushing unit according to claim 1, in which the unit comprises of manufactured materials that bond to the material it is cast in to provide a watertight unit with bonding lugs for added adhesion.
  3. 3. The flushing unit according to claim 1, in which the unit is height adjustable means that the point of installation from the buried drain can be variable either horizontally or vertically.
  4. 4. The flushing unit according to claim 1, in which the unit features a removable cap facilitates point of access when the installed unit is flush mounted to verge) kerb or surrounding area.
  5. 5. The flushing unit according to claim 1, in which the unit is height adjustable means that it can accommodate mountings and different types of buried drains.
  6. 6. The flushing unit according to claim 1, further comprises of a threaded adjustable outfall point at the rear of the lower opening.
