Abstract

A portable frame, e.g. holder for refuse sacks or rubbish bags, comprises a double hoop configuration 2, 5, which holds two bags open, one inside the other, to aid the separation of general waste 1, for example with the segregation of recyclable materials when litter picking. Additionally the apparatus may comprise a handle 4, and can be made from a colour coded, flexible material with the ability to bend when coming into contact with obstacles. Furthermore the support may be configured so that hoops can be moved independently and the used bags may be changed separately from each other.

Description
This invention relates to the hand held hoop used to keep a waste bag open.
When a person is removing items of litter from a confined space in a short period of time a hoop can be used to keep the bag open.
However the use of the hoop can only perform one ftmction that is to hold the bag open. The present invention proposes a mobile colour coded double hoop system one inside the other. This provides user the possibility to recycle while retaining a relatively small profile. The user will also have the ability to change the bags independently of each other. The hoop system itself will be flexible allowing the user to come into contact with obstacles without damaging or permanently deforming its shape. The user will have the opportunity to rotate the inner hoop creating a larger area within the external hoop for larger objects to be placed in the bag. The hoop system will include a handle so the user can maintain a firm grip on the device.
The invention will now be described solely by way of example and with reference to the accompanying drawings in which: Figure 1 Shows how all items of waste are placed through the hoop into one bag.

Page 2 In figure 2, shows how the double hoop configuration is setup. This now allows general waste 1 to be separated into either coloured hoop 5 or coloured hoop 2. This also shows the bag configuration with bag 6 inside bag 3.
This also shows the handle 4 where coloured hoop 5 is attached to coloured hoop 2.
tn figure 3, it shows how the bags are held in place. The bags 3,6 are to over lap there corresponding hoop 2,5 and be clamped into place by the coloured outer clamp 7 and the coloured inner clamp 8.
In figure 4, it shows the system in its open position ready to have new bags replaced. It shows the clamps 7,8 open freely from the hoops 2,5.
In figure 5, it shows how the imier hoop 5 can be lifted to increase the internal area of the external hoop 2 allowing lager general waste 1 to fill the bag 3.

  1. Page 3 Claims 1. The double iioop configuration has the ability to hold two independent bags open one inside the other.
  2. 2. The double hoop configuration according to claim 1 will be colour coded.
  3. 3. The double hoop configuration according to claim 1 will give the opportunity to change the bags independently of each other.
  4. 4. The double hoop configuration according to claim I will be flexible and have the ability to bend when coining into contact with obstacles.
  5. 5. The double hoop configuration according to claim 1 will allow the internal hoop to rotate upwards to create a larger internal area of the external hoop.
  6. 6. The double hoop configuration according to claim I will have a handle allowing the user to have a firm grip on the device.
