Abstract

An integrated golf bag and trolley or a golf trolley frame for transporting a golf bag comprises a single wheel 7 or ball 1. The trolley preferably comprises a fold up or extendible handle (8, figure 3) and may also comprise a motor (12, figure 5) to provide powered assistance. The bag may still be light enough to be carried if necessary.

Background
Golfers carry their golf clubs in a golf bag. The golfer who chooses to walk round the course typically carries his/her bag by one of 3 different methods:- 1. On the shoulder 2. Using a separate, manually hauled golf trolley 3. Using a separate battery powered golf trolley Current golf bags/trolleys are sometimes heavy, cumbersome to move and store and can cause damage to the golf course. Access to certain difficult areas of the golf course is also limited with current golf trolley designs.
Statement of invention
This application provides a fourth method which, in its motorised version, encompasses all methods ito 3 above. The invention, in one form, incorporates a ball or wheel into the base of the bag which is still light enough to be carried but also enables the bag to be wheeled so relieving the golfer of the need to carry on the shoulder for much of the round. In its other form, a separate bag may be added to a foldable/telescopic frame lightweight frame incorporating the ball/wheel.
Advantages: The benefits of a single ball/wheel golf club carrier, compared to other methods of transporting golf clubs, are that it is lighter, smaller, and more easily manoeuvrable and causes less damage to soft ground and can be used to access all areas of golf course including "the rough".
In its trolley only form, it can be folded for stowage and incorporates an extendable handle and stand. A motor may also be incorporated to provide powered assistance.

Detailed description:
A ball (1) or single wheel (7) golf trolley that can carry a golf bag (3) and golf clubs (4) or have an integrated golf bag (10). A ball or single wheel assembly can also be attached to a golf bag (11).
The golf trolley consists of a wheel or ball support (2) and support arm (11) with features to secure a golf bag (9) and a stand to position when not in use (13). The golf trolley consists of a handle (9) that can extendable or can fold up for stowage (8). The golf trolley can hold a motor to enable power assistance (12). The golf trolley can be pulled in different orientations for easy manoeuvrability (14-15) or carried by an integral handle (17)
