Description

Therapeutic Apparatus This invention relates to apparatus for use in the application of a therapeutic treatment. This invention extends to a therapeutic formulation as a component of such apparatus and also to a method for producing such a therapeutic formulation.
A range of devices and methods exist to assist with relaxation. This invention is concerned primarily with bio-circuits and bio-resonance. Bio-circuits are generally used as deep relaxation and meditation aids and typically comprise at least two copper polarity screens placed under the body and two hand-held copper elements. Bio-circuits may be arranged in various configurations, creating a notional energy circuit through the body. The underlying principle is that the copper acts as an antenna harnessing the body's natural energy (often referred to a "qi"). The bio-circuit is arranged to augment qi flow and induce a feeling of relaxation and wellbeing. Some also believe that bio-circuits have a healing effect on the body.
It is scientifically known that all matter vibrates at a specific frequency, specifically at an atomic level. Bio-resonance is the term used to define the natural resonance of organic life. It is believed, in certain sectors, particularly in the Far East, that the body's natural resonance can become unbalanced and this can have a negative effect on wellbeing and health. The applicant believes that resonant vibration applied to the body can be used to restore qi balance.
Many theories and papers on the subject of vibrational therapy and medicine are available.
It is a principle aim of the present invention to provide improvements and advancements in bio-circuits and bio-resonance (vibrational) therapy to assist with relaxation and vibrational healing.
According to this invention, there is provided apparatus for the therapeutic treatment of a user, the apparatus comprising: a pair of copper contacts, configured for locating on the base of the neck and on the bottom of the spine of the user; a first conductive element configured to provide an electrical connection between a hand of the user and the opposite foot; a second conductive element configured to provide an electrical connection between the other hand of the user and the other foot; a signal source connected between the copper contacts and configured to apply a potential difference thereacross; and a therapeutic formulation in electrical communication with the signal source between the copper contacts.
In use, the apparatus is configured to cause relaxation, with the user laying or sitting in a reclined position. Advantageously, each conductive element may include securing members to connect the element to the hand and foot of a user. The use of securing members ensures that, following set up, the user will remain connected to the element without having to make any additional effort and so could fall asleep and would not become disconnected as a result.
Moreover, the use of securing members means that the apparatus could be used on infants (babies or small children) or even pets (such as dogs) without assistance, for example an adult constantly holding the conductive element to the infants hands and feet.
The user may wish to use the apparatus alone, i.e. without assistance or supervision and in this case, it is preferable is the securing members are self-tightening. This may be achieved in a range of ways for example using buckles, clips, hook and loop members etc. Preferably, each securing member comprises a strap arranged for location around the hand or foot of a user and includes a buckle to secure the strap to the user. The strap may have the conductive element connected thereto or integrated within the strap material. In a particularly preferred embodiment, the strap extends over substantially the whole of the conductive element. Embedding each conductive element in a strap may increase the overall effectiveness of the apparatus, by providing an enhanced electrical connection over a larger region of the hands and feet.
By providing a therapeutic formulation within the circuit, it is believed that the resonant frequency of healing and/or relaxation substances may be delivered to a user non-invasively. Various studies have indicated that the delivery of substances in this way is more effective than invasive applications.
The applicant has found that the signal source enhances the effect of the therapeutic formulation essentially acting as an amplifier. The signal source is thus provided within the circuit to enhance the effectiveness of the therapeutic formulation. Preferably, the signal source includes a power source and is configured to produce a 30kHz O.25v positive offset square wave. In effect the signal source is a frequency generator. The power source may comprise a dry cell battery.
The therapeutic formulation may comprise a carrier treated by a radionics copier. Radionics copiers are thought to facilitate the transfer of energy from one substance to another. The principle is based on all matter vibrating at a particular frequency. Essentially, a radionics copier was conceived for the purpose of emulating the resonant properties of a substance.
Thus, by using a radionics copier, a particular frequency may be obtained specific to the needs of the user. According to the applicant, specific frequencies can be attributed to particular conditions or diseases. Thus a specific frequency may be emulated in order to target a particular problem. The radionics copier may be provided with a potentiometer to enable to potency of the carrier to be variable.
In a particularly preferred arrangement, the carrier has been treated to emulate a source formulation having at least three distinct active components believed to target each of the mind, body and soul. The underlying principle is that the source formulation is believed to attack the root cause of the problem, whether an illness or other imbalance in the body's natural resonance, leading to long term recovery. Such a formulation may include a mix of emotional, mental, spiritual and soul remedies. The three active components may be flower remedies, vitamins, minerals, essential oils, essences or the like. For example, vitamin C could constitute an active component believed to target the body; a flower remedy such as Larch could constitute an active component believed to target the mind (i.e. to increase confidence); and an essential oil such as chamomile oil could constitute an active component believed to target the soul (i.e. to have a calming and relaxation effect).
Preferably the carrier is a fluid, such as water. The carrier may consist solely of water or may include other components, such as preservatives or alcohol. The carrier may comprise ionised water. lonised water contains minerals which have been ionised to alter the acidity or alkalinity thereof. The ionising of water causes the minerals to have either a positive or a negative charge. The ionised water may have a positive or a negative charge.
According to a second embodiment of this invention there is provided a therapeutic formulation comprising a carrier treated by a radionics copier to emulate a source formulation having at least three distinct active components.
The radionics copier is configured to emulate the source formulation by copying the vibrational frequency characteristics thereof.
According to a third embodiment of this invention, related to the second embodiment, there is provided a method for the production of a therapeutic formulation as hereinbefore described, the method comprising performance of the following steps: i) determining a selection of at least three substances; ii) mixing the substances together to form a source formulation; Di) placing the source formulation in a substance container of a radionics copier; iv) placing a carrier in a copier container of a radionics copier; v) transferring information from the source formulation to the carrier to form a therapeutic formulation that emulates the resonance characteristics of the source formulation.
The substances required depend on the particular user but there are various ways by which the selection may be determined. For example, the user may be muscle tested to provide information regarding their health. Other forms of testing may equally apply. It will be appreciated that the discussions herein concerning features common to more than one embodiment will apply equally to all embodiments having those features.
According to a fourth embodiment of this invention, related to the first embodiment, there is provided apparatus for the therapeutic treatment of a user, the apparatus comprising: a pair of copper contacts, configured for locating on the base of the neck and on the bottom of the spine of the user; a first conductive element configured to provide an electrical connection between a hand of the user and the opposite foot; and a second conductive element configured to provide an electrical connection between the other hand of the user and the other foot; wherein each conductive element includes securing members to connect the element to the hand and foot of a user.
The apparatus of this embodiment is designed as a deep relaxation aid.
As discussed in relation to the first embodiment the use of securing members has the advantage of maintaining a connection between the conductive element and the users hand and foot. This is beneficial not only in allowing full relaxation, without effort in holding the element, but also may provide improved connection to the user. This is particularly the case with the connection of the conductive elements to the user's feet. The securing members are preferably self-tightening to facilitate single user set up.
As with the first embodiment, each securing member may comprise a strap arranged for location around the hand or foot of a user and include a buckle to secure the strap to the user. Each strap may extend along a conductive element, with the element passing through the centre of the strap.
By way of example only, an embodiment of apparatus and method of this invention and will now be described in detail, reference being made to the accompanying drawings in which:-Figure 1 shows components comprising apparatus for the therapeutic treatment of a user; Figure 2 shows some of the components of Figure 1 configured in a first embodiment for use with broken lines showing the basic outline of a user; Figure 3 shows each of the components of Figure 1 configured in a second embodiment for use with broken lines showing the basic outline of a user; Figure 4 shows a radionics copy for use in conjunction with the apparatus and method of the present invention; and Figure 5 is a flow-chart diagram illustrating the main steps of the method for the production of a therapeutic formulation.
Referring initially to Figures 1 to 3, there is shown apparatus 10 for the therapeutic treatment of a user 11. The apparatus 10 includes two substantially rectangular copper contact screens 12, 13. These screens 12, 13 comprise an outer fabric material 14 having copper wire 15 sewn therein. In a first embodiment, as shown in Figure 2, a copper wire 20 extends between the screens 12, 13 and this connects the screens together. In a second embodiment, as shown in Figure 3, a separate copper wire 16, 17 extends from each screen 12, 13 and is arranged to co-operate with other parts of the apparatus, as described in more detail below.
The extending copper wire 17 of one of the screens 13 is arranged to extend into a bottle 18. The bottle 18 may be any shape or size but contains a therapeutic formulation 19. The therapeutic formulation 19 is a carrier which has been treated by a radionics copier 22, as shown in Figure 3. The radionics copier 22 is intended to transfer frequency characteristics of a source formulation to a carrier so that the carrier emulates those characteristics. The radionics copier 22 includes a substance container 23 and a carrier container 24. A potentiometer 25 is also provided on the radionics copier 22. In this case, the carrier is ionised water. The water has been treated to emulate a source formulation having at least three distinct active components arranged to target each of the mind, body and soul. For example, the source formulation may comprise natural based substances such as flower remedies essential oils, essences, vitamins or minerals, or even chemical substances, such as aspirin.
The carrier is provided with the resonant frequencies of the source formulation and the potency of the carrier may be varied. A method for producing such a formulation 19 is discussed in more detail below.
The copper wire 16 extending from the other copper screen 12 is configured to connect to a signal source 28. The signal source 28 is essentially a frequency generator, powered by a dry cell battery 29 (not visible in normal use) and is configured to produce a 30kHz 0.25v positive offset square wave.
The signal source 28 is generally box shaped and has a copper connecting wire arranged to connect thereto. This copper wire 30 is arranged to extend into the bottle 18 so as to contact the formulation 19.
First 33 and second 34 longitudinal conductive elements are provided with securing members 35 at each end thereof, suitable for securing each conductive element 33, 34 to the hand and opposed foot of a user. The conductive elements essentially comprise a copper wire 36 (not visible in normal use) integrated into a fabric strap 37. The securing members 35 include a buckle 38 arranged to secure the strap 37 to the user's hands and/or feet.
In use, in both the first and second embodiments, the copper screens 12, 13 are placed under the user 11, on the base of the neck and on the bottom of the spine. The securing members 35 of the first conductive element 33 are connected to the hand and opposed foot or the user 11 and the securing members 35 of the second conductive element 34 are connected to the other hand and other opposed foot of the user 11. The connection of the apparatus effectively creates a notional energy circuit through the user's body. In the first embodiment, the circuit is essentially complete and is aimed to have a relaxation effect on the user 11. In the second embodiment, a frequency is applied to the circuit when the signal source 28 is switched on.
Referring to Figures 4 and 5, the method for the production of a therapeutic formulation generally comprises a series of steps to be sequentially performed. The first step, step A 40, requires the determination of a selection of substances for targeting the mind, body and soul of an individual human or animal. The substances may be selected depending on the needs of the user 11 or may be a general mix to enhance wellbeing. Once the appropriate selection has been made the substances are mixed together in order to form a source formulation, in step B 41.
Steps C to E require the use of a radionics copier 22. In step C 42, the source formulation is placed into the substance container 23 and in step D 43, the carrier is placed into the copier container 24. The required potency of the carrier may be varied by adjusting the potentiometer 25 (if provided) on the radionics copier 22. In step F 44, the radionics copier 22 is turned on and information is thought to be transferred from the source formulation to the carrier to form a therapeutic formulation 19 that emulates the resonance characteristics of the source formulation.
