Description

Storage compartment system for a vehicle and central console with the storage compartment system
Technical Field:
The invention concerns a storage compartment system for a vehicle with the characteristics of claim 1, and a central console with the storage compartment system with the characteristics of claim 15. * *. * * *
Background:
***..* Many vehicles have central consoles with storage compartments, which can be closed ". : by a roll top or a louver. Storage compartments in central consoles, which are designed to hold beverage containers, are already known. The patent application DE 10 2006 013 *** * 969 Al, which probably constitutes the closest prior art, for example, describes a built-in combination consisting of a motor vehicle console with an open top holding device for at *. : 20 least one beverage container. The built-in combination comprises a storage compartment, into which the beverage container can be inserted and which is designed to be moved longitudinally to the vehicle. The holding device is designed for two beverage containers arranged one behind the other, and can optionally be closed by a roll top cover of the storage compartment.
Description:
The invention is based on the object of providing a storage compartment system with a functionally flexible storage compartment cover. This object is achieved by a storage compartment system with the characteristics of claim I and with a central console with the characteristics of claim 15. Preferred or advantageous embodiments of the invention result from the dependent claims, the subsequent description and/or the accompanying figures.
A storage compartment system for a vehicle, in particular, for a passenger car or a truck, is proposed. Preferably, the storage compartment system is integrated and/or integratable in an internal space of the vehicle, in particular, in an interior lining, in particular in a central console of the vehicle.
The storage compartment system incorporates a storage compartment for storing items.
For example, the storage compartment is designed as, e.g., a rectangular housing with two longitudinal sides and two end faces. Preferably, the storage compartment encloses a storage space for the items stored and/or to be stored therein. In particular, the storage compartment has a top opening, oriented, in particular, toward a vehicle roof, through which a user can reach into the storage space.
The storage compartment system incorporates a storage compartment cover, which is * *. 15 designed to cover orto allow access to the storage compartment, in particular, to cover or to allow access to the opening of the storage compartment. The storage compartment * : * cover is molded from a flexible and/or pliable structure or material. Preferably, the storage compartment cover is designed to be able to be guided, folded and/or rolled : around a cam track by this means, e.g. in order to open the storage compartment and to *** * 20 allow for access by the user.
*. : The storage compartment cover can be changed from an open position to a closed position. In the open position, the storage compartment is open, in particular, the storage space is freely accessible through the opening. In the closed position, on the other hand, the storage compartment is closed, wherein the opening is preferably completely covered by the storage compartment cover.
The storage compartment cover has a closure section and a retaining section. In the closed position, the closure section covers the storage compartment, in particular, the opening, completely. In particular, the storage compartment cover can be changed from the open position or from the closed position, to a holding position.
In the holding position, the retaining section covers the storage compartment, in particular, the opening. The retaining section is designed to hold at least one beverage container in the storage compartment. The beverage container is in the shape of, for example, a beverage can, a cup, a glass or a bottle.
It is advantageous that the retaining section is integrated in the storage compartment cover since the beverage container can thus be retained in the storage compartment without additional components. Material and manufacturing costs can be saved due to the reduced number of components. In particular, the storage compartment cover is designed to be multifunctional since this can not only close or open the storage compartment, but can also be utilized to retain the beverage container.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the storage compartment cover is designed to be able to be changed, in particular, moved and/or displaced, from the open position to the closed position and/or to the holding position. Optionally, the storage compartment cover can be manually moved or displaced. It is also possible within the scope of the * * 15 invention for the storage compartment cover to be able to be moved and/or displaced automatically, in particular, motor operated, from the open position to the closed position * * and/or to the holding position. * *
One possible realization of the invention provides for the retaining section to have at least one cup holder to hold the beverage container. In a particularly preferred realization of the invention, the retaining section has two cup holders arranged adjacent to one another. The cup holder is designed, forexample, as a round, in particular, * circular, recess in the retaining section. In particular, the beverage container can be inserted into the circular recess. Here, the beverage container preferably stands on the base of the storage compartment and is held at the sides and stabilized in order to prevent it from tipping over. The beverage container can also be arranged at a distance from the base of the storage compartment and/or suspended in the cup holder.
In one possible embodiment of the invention, the cup holder, in particular, the circular recess, incorporates at least one tab, protruding radially inward. Preferably, the at least one tab is designed to be flexible and/or pliable. In particular, the tab is designed to adjust a diameter of the recess and to adapt the recess to different widths and/or diameters of the beverage container. Thus, different sizes of beverage containers can be inserted in the cup holder and held securely. In a particularly preferred realization of the invention, multiple, e.g. four, six or eight, tabs protrude radially inward from the edge of the beverage container.
Particularly preferably, the storage compartment cover incorporates a slatted roll top and/or a slatted louver and/or is formed by this. In particular, the closure section and the retaining section are formed by the slatted roll top andlor by the slatted louver. In the form of a slatted roll top and/or a slatted louver, the storage compartment cover can be stored with minimal space requirements in a surrounding structure, e.g. in the central console of the vehicle. In the open position, for example it can be at least partially looped, folded together and/or coiled in order to be stored in the surrounding structure.
In addition, the storage compartment cover in the form of a slatted roll top and/or a slatted louver is designed to be both flat and stable and thus can easily be changed from the open position to the closed position or to the holding position.
* ,* 15 A preferred embodiment of the invention provides for the storage compartment system to :.: * incomorate a guide unit with two guide channels. The guide unit is preferably designed * * to guide the storage compartment cover at the sides from the open position to the closed * :*: position and/or to the holding position. Preferably, a housing section for the storage compartment cover is enclosed between the guide channels. The guide channels are * 20 designed as guide slots or guide rails, for example. Preferably, the longitudinal sides of * the storage compartment cover engage in the guide channels and/or the storage :::: : compartment cover is mounted in these ones so as to be movable and/or displaceable.
The guide unit enables the storage compartment cover to be easily and reliably changed from the open position to the closed position and/or to the holding position. It is advantageous that the storage compartment cover in the housing section can be accommodated with minimal space requirements.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the storage compartment system incorporates the surrounding structure. The surrounding structure is preferably arranged adjacent to the storage compartment and/or underneath the storage compartment, in particular, underneath the base of the storage compartment. Optionally, the guide unit is also designed to feed the storage compartment cover at least partially into the surrounding structure. Thus, the storage compartment cover can be fed into and stored in the surrounding structure, e.g. in a central console of the vehicle, in the housing section between the guide channels. Advantageously, an additional storage space for the storage compartment cover can be dispensed with. This has advantages, in particular, in utilizing the installation space in the vehicle interior.
In an optional realization of the invention, the guide channels in the area of the opening extend along the side panels of the storage compartment and continue into the surrounding structure. For this purpose, the guide channels extend in an arc, for example, around both end faces of the storage compartment. The storage compartment cover is designed, for example, as a continuous cover, which can be guided completely and continuously around the storage compartment in the guide channels. In particular, the storage compartment cover can be guided completely and continuously around the storage compartment in the guide channels in two opposing directions of circulation.
In a preferred realization of the invention, the storage compartment system incorporates * *. 15 at least one catch. Preferably, in the open position, closed position and/or holding position, the catch of the storage compartment cover strikes a surrounding structure *..*.* * and/or catches on this. The catch is designed, for example, as a separate component, e.g. as a hard rubber part. In this form, it is fitted onto the storage compartment cover.
7 Alternately, the catch can also be integrated into the storage compartment cover by material bonding, in particular, molded into this one or injection molded onto this one. In a further possible realization of the invention, the catch can be inserted into the guide channels or integrated into these ones. * 4* * S.
Preferably, the at least one catch is designed to be able to be pushed over and/or overrun. In this function, the catch is designed as e.g. a convex elevation on the storage compartment cover. Thus, the storage compartment cover can be changed by pushing over and/or overrunning the catch from the open position to the closed position and/or to the holding position. In particular, the catch, able to be pushed over and/or overrun, gives the user a haptic indication of the current position of the storage compartment cover on being pushed over and/or overrun. Thus, the catch has the advantage that the user of the storage compartment system can change the storage compartment cover easily and properly into the desired position, even without direct visual contact and/or while driving the vehicle.
Alternatively, the at least one catch is designed as at least one end stop for the storage compartment cover. In particular, the end stop is not designed to be able to be overrun and/or pushed over by the storage compartment cover. Optionally, moving and/or displacing the storage compartment cover is limited by the end stop. Hence, the storage compartment cover cannot be continuously guided around the storage compartment.
In a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention, the at least one catch is designed to be able to be pushed over and/or overrun in one of two directions of movement of the storage compartment cover and, in the other direction of movement, is designed as at least one end stop and/or functions as an end stop. In this embodiment, the storage compartment cover must be moved and/or displaced e.g. in one of the two directions of movement to change from the open position to the holding position and/or to the closed position. On changing from the holding position and/or closed position to the open position again, the storage compartment cover is moved and/or displaced in * 15 the other direction of movement. The end stop, for example, has at least one step or slope able to be pushed over and/or overrun and a ridge opposing the step or slope. The * ridge is preferably not designed to be able to be pushed over and/or overrun, such that the end stop is formed by the ridge. * ** *
* 20 A further object of the invention concerns a central console for the vehicle. The central console incorporates the storage compartment system in accordance with the previous description and/or in accordance with Claims Ito 14. The central console in the vehicle interior preferably extends longitudinally to the vehicle, between a drivers seat and a passenger seat. Preferably, the surrounding structure is formed by the central console or this one forms a segment of the central console.
Further characteristics, advantages and properties of the invention follow from the subsequent description of preferred exemplary embodiments of the invention. Corresponding or similar parts in the figures are provided with the same reference symbols in each case.
Fig. I depicts a perspective plan view of a storage compartment system 1, from above.
The storage compartment system 1 is integrated in a central console 2 of a vehicle, e.g. of a passenger car or a truck. The central console 2 in the interior of a vehicle runs longitudinally to the vehicle, between a drivers seat and a passenger seat.
The storage compartment system 1 has a storage compartment 3 (see Figs. 2 to 7), in S which items can be stored. The storage compartment 3 is designed as a box-shaped housing with end faces 4a, 4b, longitudinal sides 4c, 4d, an opening 5 (Figs. 2 and 5) and a base 13 opposite the opening 5. The housing encloses a storage space, to which a user can have access through the opening 5.
The storage compartment system I incorporates a surrounding structure 17, which is arranged adjacent to, in particular, next to the end faces 4a, 4b and underneath the storage compartment 3, in particular, underneath the base 13. The surrounding structure 17 forms a segment and/or component of the central console 2.
* *. 15 The storage compartment system I incorporates a storage compartment coverS. The :: storage compartment cover 6 is formed from a flexible and/or pliable structure. This is designed as a slatted roll top and/or a slatted louver. * * * .
* " The storage compartment system 1 incorporates a guide unit 10 with two guide channels S..
14, 15 (see Figs. 2 to 7). The storage compartment cover 6 is fed into and stored in the guide channels 14, 15. By manual.or motor-driven movement and/or displacement in the guide channels 14, 15, the storage compartment cover 6 can be changed from an open * position 0 (Figs. 2 and 5) to a closed position S (Figs. 4 and 7) and/or to a holding position H (Figs. 1, 3 and 6).
A housing section 16 for the storage compartment cover 6 is enclosed between the guide channels 14, 15. In particular, the storage compartment cover 6 is arranged between the guide channels 14, 15 in the housing section 16 and/or is accommodated therein.
The storage compartment cover 6 incorporates a closure section 7 and a retaining section 8 (see Figs. ito 7). The closure section 7 and the retaining section 8 are moved in the direction of movement Ri; R2 and/or in the direction of circulation Zi; Z2 of the storage compartment cover 6, arranged in succession, consecutively and/or not * 9 overlapping. By movement and/or displacement in the guide channels 14, 15, the closure section 7 or the retaining section 8 can be guided to the opening 5 and positioned over or on this, such that this is closed. The other respective section 7, 8 is then accommodated in the housing section 16 in the surrounding structure 17.
Alternatively, both sections 7, 8 can be accommodated in the housing section 16 in the surrounding structure 17. In this case, the opening 5 is uncovered and the storage compartment 3 is opened.
In Figs. 4 and 7, the storage compartment cover 6 is in the closed position S. In the closed position 8, the closure section 7 covers the storage compartment 3 completely, such that the opening 5 is closed. The retaining section 8 is accommodated in the housing section 16 in the surrounding structure 17.
As depicted in Figs. 1, 3 and 6, the storage compartment cover is in the holding position * * 15 H. In the holding position H, the storage compartment 3, in particular, the opening 5, is :.: covered by the retaining section 8. The closure section 7 is accommodated in the housing section 16, in the surrounding structure 17. * *
Figs. 2 and 5 depict the storage compartment cover in the open position 0. In the open position 0, the storage compartment 3, in particular, the opening 5, is uncovered for access by the user. Here, the retaining section 8 and the closure section 7 are accommodated together in the housing section 16 in the surrounding structure 17.
The retaining section 8 has two cup holders 11 for holding beverage containers 9 (see Figs. 3 and 6), e.g. cups or bottles. Each cup holder 11 is designed as a circular recess in the retaining section 8. In Figs. 3 and 6, the beverage containers 9 are inserted into the cup holders 11, wherein the beverage containers 9 are standing on the base 13 of the storage compartment 3 (see Figs. 3 and 6). Alternatively, the beverage containers 9 can be suspended in the cup holders 11, such that these ones are arranged at a distance from the base 13.
As depicted in Fig. 1, each cup holder 11 has multiple, e.g. six, tabs 12 protruding radially inward, which are designed to be flexible and/or pliable. The tabs 12 serve to adapt the cup holder 11 to different widths and/or diameters of different beverage containers 9, which are to be inserted into the cup holders 11. Thus, the beverage containers 9 can be securely retained in the cup holders 11, without the risk of tipping over and losing liquid.
Figs. 2 to 4 depict a cutaway view of the storage compartment system I in Fig. 1, wherein the cutline is vertical to the longitudinal side of the storage compartment 3.
The guide channels 14, 15, and hence also the housing section 16, run along bath sides of the upper edges of the longitudinal sides 4c, 4d of the storage compartment 3 and extend further in an arc around the end faces 4a, 4b of the storage compartment 3. They are interconnected underneath the storage compartment 3, in particular, underneath the base 13, and merge into one another. Hence, the guide channels 14, 15 form a continuous loop around the storage compartment 3. The guide channels 14, 15 are designed to feed at least some sections of the storage compartment cover 6 into the : * 15 surrounding structure 17, such that they are accommodated in the surrounding structure 17 in the housing section 16. * *
The storage compartment cover 6 in Figs. 2 to 4 is designed as a continuous cover. As a : continuous cover, the storage compartment cover 6 can be guided entirely around the : 20 storage compartment 3 in the continuous loop of the guide channels 14, 15. Here, two opposite directions of circulation Zi, Z2 are possible, in particular, circulation in a clockwise direction and circulation in a counterclockwise direction.
The storage compartment system 1, in particular, the storage compartment cover 6, has multiple catches 18a, 18b, 18c, which, on moving and/or displacing the storage compartment cover 6 into the different positions 0, H, 8, strike and/or catch on the surrounding structure 17, 17a, 17b.
Fig. 8 depicts a cutaway view of one of the catches ISa, 18b, 18c. The catch 18a, 18b, 18c is designed as a convex elevation. The catch 18a, 18b, 18c can be attached to the storage compartment cover 6 as a separate component, e.g. as a hard rubber stopper, or integrated into this, in particular, molded on this.
In Figs. 2 to 4, the catches 18a, 18b, 18c are positioned on the storage compartment cover 6. These ones are designed to be able to be pushed over and/or overrun in each of the two directions of circulation Zi, Z2. Thus, they do not obstruct the further movement and/or displacement of the storage compartment cover 6 completely, but only produce a noticeable momentary resistance on changing the position 0, 5, H of the storage compartment cover 6.
Where required, the catches 18a, 18b, lBc can be used as a grip aids for moving the storage compartment cover 6. However, it is also possible for the storage compartment cover 6 to incorporate at least one additional handle, via which the user can move the storage compartment cover 6.
The catch 18a is arranged at the end of the retaining section 8 and the catch 18b is arranged at the end of the closure section 7. The catch 18c is arranged between the : * * 15 retaining section 8 and the closure section 7. On pushing over and/or overrunning each " of one of the catches 18a, 18b, 18c, the user notices a haptic resistance. This hasthe advantage that the user can change the desired position, for example the open position 0 according to Fig. 2, the holding position H according to Fig. 3 or the closed position S according to Fig. 4, easily and properly, even without direct visual contact, in particular, even while driving the vehicle. * .4
:: : : Figs. 5 to 7 depict a cutaway view of an alternative storage compartment system 1, * " wherein the cuthne is vertical to the longitudinal side of the storage compartment 3. The alternative storage compartment system 1 has the catches 1 Ba and I Sc, wherein the catch 18a is arranged at the end of the retaining section 8 and the catch 18c is arranged between the closure section 7 and the retaining section 8. The catch 18b is omitted. On changing the storage compartment cover 6 from the open position 0 (as per Fig. 5) to the holding position H (as per Fig. 6) or to the closed position S (as per Fig. 7), the catches 18a, 18b are moved along in the respective direction of movement Ri, R2.
On being moved in one of thetwo directions of movement Ri, R2, the catches 18a, 18c are designed to be able to be pushed over and/or overrun and, on being moved and/or displaced in the other direction of movement Ri, R2, function as end stops E. For this purpose, each catch 18a, 18c has at least one step 19. Each catch 18a, 18c has a ridge 21 on the opposite side of the step 19. A detailed depiction of the catches 1 8a, 1 8c is shown in Figs. 9 and 10.
Alternatively, the catches 18a, 18c in Figs. 11 and 12 can have a slope 20 in place of the step 19, which serves the same purpose of being able to be pushed over and/or overrun.
Each catch I 8a, I 8c has the ridge 21 on the opposite side of the slope 20.
When the step 19 or the slope 20 of the catches iSa, 18c of the storage compartment cover 6 strikes the surrounding structure 1 7a, 1 7b on being moved and/or displaced, it can be moved further since the catches ISa, 18c, in this case, are designed to be able to be overrun and/or pushed over. These ones do not obstruct the further movement and/or displacement, but only create a momentarily noticeable resistance.
When the ridge 21 of the catches 18a, 18c strikes the surrounding structure 17a, 17b on * 15 moving, and/or displacing the storage compartment cover 6, it can no longer be moved °. further since the catches iSa, 18c, in this case, function as end stops E. The end stops E obstruct the further movement and/or displacement of the storage compartment cover 6. Hence1 the storage compartment cover 6 cannot be guided entirely around the storage compartment 3.
** In Fig. 5, the storage compartment cover 6 is in the open position 0. In the open position 0, the catch iSa is designed as an end stop when the storage compartment cover 6 is to * * be moved and/or displaced in the second direction of movement R2. Due to its ridge 21 (as per Fig. 10), arranged on the left-hand side, the catch 18a strikes against the overlying surrounding structure 17a and forms the end stop E. Thus, further movement and/or displacement of the storage compartment cover 6 in the second direction of movement R2 is obstructed.
As also depicted in Fig. 5, only movement and/or displacement of the storage compartment cover 6 in the first direction of movement RI is possible. Thus, the storage compartment cover 6 can be changed to the holding position H (as per Fig. 6). On further pushing and/or displacing the storage compartment cover 6 in the first direction of movement Ri, the catch 1 Sc functions as a catch which can be overrun and/or pushed over since, due to its step 19, descending toward the left (as per Fig. 9), it can be moved under the overlying surrounding structure 17a and offers only momentary resistance.
* Fig. 6 depicts the storage compartment cover 6 in the holding position H. The catches 18a, 18c are positioned on the storage compartment cover 6, above the end faces 4a, 4b. The storage compartment coverS in Fig. 7 is changed to the closed position S by further movement andlor displacement in the first direction of movement Ri. The catch 18a is designed to be able to be overrun and/or pushed over since, due to its step 19, descending toward the right (as per Fig. 10), it can be guided under the overlying surrounding structure 17b and offers only momentary resistance.
In Fig. 7, the storage compartment cover 6 is depicted in the closed position S. In the closed position 8, the catch 1 Bc, due to its ridge 21, arranged on the right-hand side (as per Fig. 9), functions as an end stop E. Due to the ridge 21, it cannot be guided under the overlying surrounding structure 17b. Hence, further movement in the first direction of movement Ri is obstructed.
* .* . *.* Thus, to change to the holding position H in Fig. 6 or to the open position 0 again, the storage compartment cover 6 can only be moved back and/or displaced in the second : 20 direction of movement R2. In this case, due to its step 19, descending toward the right (as per Fig. 10), the catch 1 Ba can be moved back underneath the overlying surrounding structure 17b, wherein, in the process, it offers only momentary resistance. ** . * * .
