Description
Traditional Chinese medicine composition for the treatment of diabetes.
Field
This invention relates to the field of medicine. In particular the invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for the treatment of diabetes and to a method for the preparation thereof.
Background of the Invention
Traditional Chinese medicine may be used to treat diabetes and its secondary effects. According to modern medical research, diabetes often results in islet capillary fibrosis, increased blood viscosity, erythrocyte aggregation, enhanced platelet adhesion and aggregation of the vessel wall enhancement, coagulation factors, fibrinogen and other blood stasis increased pathological changes. Clinical symptoms include numbness, dark purple tongue lips, tongue side petechiae or ecchymosis, sublingual vein stasis slow pulse, astringent characteristics, such as blood stasis syndrome. Therefore, the incidence of bleeding is important in this disease pathogenesis, but also where the key lies to obtain long-term efficacy of a treatment. Especially in secondary effects of diabetes, mostly lower extremity vascular disease, blood blockage, and peripheral dystrophy.
Summary
The technical problem to be solved by the present invention is to provide a treatment of diabetes which has a significant effect and provides a treatment process which is short and has a high cure rate.
The object of the present invention is achieved by the following technical solution. The invention provides a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) composition for treating diabetes, characterized in that it comprises extracts from the following active ingredients: musk ( Latin name: Moschus), Chuan Xiong ( Latin name: Rhizorna Chuanxiong), motherwort ( Latin name Leonurus japonicus Houtt), cloves ( Latin name: Syringa ob/ata) and cocklebur ( Latin name anthium sibiricum).
The composition may comprise the following weight ratio of active ingredients: musk SOg-500g, SOg-500g Chuanxiong motherwort SOg-SOOg, 1 Og-80g cloves, cocklebur 1 Og-80g.
Preferably the composition comprises the active ingredients in the following amounts: Musk 200g, Chuanxiong 200g, motherwort 1 SOg, 60g cloves and cocklebur 60g.
Another object of the present invention to provide a method for preparing a composition comprising said traditional Chinese medicine composition.
The active ingredients of the composition according to the invention may be added to a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. Suitable carriers include diluents, excipients, fillers, binders, wetting agents, disintegrating agents, absorption accelerators, surfactants, adsorption carriers and lubricants, for example. The skilled person will appreciate that the carrier can be selected depending on the desired preparation form or end use.
The composition according to the invention can be prepared in any suitable dosage form. For example, the composition can be further processed into dosage forms including oral tablets, capsules, granules and a variety of formulations and injections. Such dosage forms can be prepared according to conventional methods in the art of pharmacy.
Detailed Description
The present invention provides a composition for the treatment of diabetes and describes the effect of the treatment of diabetes. The following experiments demonstrate pharmacodynamics and toxicology of the composition according to the invention.
The invention is described in more detail below by way of example. The examples are illustrative of embodiments of the invention and are not to be considered to limit the scope of the invention.
Example I
Musk (accurately weighed) 200g, Chuanxiong 200g, motherwort 150g, cloves 60g, and 60g cocklebur were rinsed with deionized water 3200m1 deionized water was added. The mixture was heated to extract one hour after the release of the extract; then add 2400m1 of deionized water, heated after one hour extraction, the extract discharged 2400m1 of deionized water was further added, heated 0.5 hours after the extraction, the extract discharged. After three combined extracts were filtered, concentrated to 600 ml, and then added at a concentration of 95 % by volume of ethanol containing 60% alcohol, 24 hours the precipitate was filtered; the filtrate was recovered to 400 ml, was added at a concentration of 95% ethanol containing alcohol an amount of 80% precipitation, filtration, recovery of ethanol and concentrated to 400g, to provide a herbal extract composition.
Example 2
Take 250m1 injection preparation of Example 1 extract composition lOg, plus the amount of water for injection to dissolve sodium chloride 2.25g, adjust the volume with water for injection to 1 25m1, adding the right amount of carbon injection, boil for 15 minutes, let cool, filter. However, the filtrate was added to adjust the amount of water for injection to 250 ml of pH adjustment, followed by filtration, filling, sterilization, packaging.
Example 3
According to 1985 World Health Organization (WHO) diagnostic criteria for diabetes type 1 or 2 diabetes may be diagnosed by outpatient observation. A total of 177 cases, according to sex, age and duration divided into two groups cases, 52 cases in the control group. Observed 125 cases, male 89 cases, female 36 cases; the oldest 75 and the youngest 29 years old, average 51 years; longest duration of 19 years, the shortest one month, an average of 3.5 years. Of which 68 cases with hyperlipidemia, coronary heart disease in 19 cases, 18 cases of hypertension, gout, three cases; five cases of cerebrovascular disease complicated by diabetes, diabetic foot two cases; TCM is 78 cases of deficiency and blood stasis, qi stasis cloud 33 cases, 14 cases of kidney blood stasis. The control group 52 cases, 36 males and 16 females;, the oldest 74 and the youngest 30 years old, average 53 years; duration of up to 18 years and the shortest 1.5 months, an average of three years. 20 patients with hyperlipidemia, coronary heart disease in 5 cases, 8 cases of hypertension, gout, one case complicated by diabetes and cerebrovascular disease in 2 cases, 2 cases of diabetic peripheral neuropathy, diabetic foot one case. Two groups of gender, age, duration of comparison there was no significant statistical difference (P> 0.05).
Strict control of blood glucose control, blood sugar is maintained at or close to normal levels, vitamin 312500Lg intramuscular injection, oral nutritional vitamins BllOmg nerve, 65422 Injection 20mg in 0.9% sodium chloride injection in 250m1, 1 day, intravenous drip.
Treatment group received two injections 250m1 cases daily, intravenous drip 1.2.3 2 treatment groups were two weeks as a course of treatment after a statistical effect.
Determination of the efficacy According to Chinese medicine efficacy standards Society of Diabetes diabetes mellitus) Third Conference Professional Committee ( May 1992 Shandong) efficacy standards, combined with the TCM Syndrome Diagnostic efficacy of the standard developed [1]: marked symptoms should disappear; fasting blood glucose c6.lmmol/ L, 2h postprandial blood glucose <8.3mmol/ L. should be effective for the disappearance of symptoms; fasting blood glucose <8.3mmol I L, 2h postprandial blood glucose <11.1 mmol I L. Invalid symptoms and laboratory tests for the change, or exacerbations. 3.2 The outcome of the observation group 125 cases, 92 cases markedly effective in 25 cases, 8 cases, markedly effective rate 73.6%, the total efficiency of 93.6%. The control group was 52 cases; 15 cases markedly effective, 20 cases significant efficiency 28.9%, the total efficiency of 61.6%. Observed compared with the control group, the statistical treatment, significant efficiency and total efficiency were significant differences (P <0.01). The observation group 65 cases were followed up markedly, including five cases in five years, 15 cases of 3 years, 45 cases a year without recurrence.
From the above experimental results, the pharmaceutical composition prepared by a medicine for diabetes, the present invention has a significant therapeutic effect.
