Abstract
A method for determining power consumption reduction and/or energy saving arising from the use of a voltage regulation device (1) is described. The method comprises calculating a power reduction and/or energy saving resulting from use of a voltage regulation device which comprises a transformer comprising primary and secondary windings. Calculating the energy saving and/or power reduction includes determining a power induced in the primary winding from the secondary winding based on primary winding current and voltage across the primary winding, and adjusting the power based on number of turns in the primary winding and number of turns in the second winding or based on a voltage across the primary winding and a voltage across the second winding. The method comprises storing and/or displaying the power reduction and/or energy saving.
