Description
The present invention relates to an am, support for a motor vehicle having a cover, which is movable in relation to the motor vehicle1 having an armrest surface, and also a motor vehicle, in particular a passenger automobile, having such an arm support.
Arm supports for motor vehicles are known from in-house practice, which have a cover having an armrest surface for resting an arm, this surface being movable in relation to the motor vehicle, in particular to adapt the position of the armrest surface to different body sizes and/or to close a storage compartment as desired.
On the other hand, an operating element canier, which can be grasped with one hand, having a single-finger operating element, which is attached to a central console such that it is actuatable like a joystick, is known from DE 10 2007 034 586 Al.
Such an operating element carrier is unsuitable for an above-mentioned movable arm support, however, since its protruding dimensions and its articulation obstruct a movement of the cover having the armrest surface.
One object of an embodiment of the present invention is to provide an improved motor vehicle.
This object is achieved by a movable arm support for a motor vehicle having the features of Claim 1. Claim 9 places under protection a motor vehicle, in particular a passenger automobile, having a corresponding arm support. Advantageous embodiments of the invention are the subject matter of the dependent claims.
According to one aspect of the present invention, a motor vehicle, in particular a passenger automobile, has at least one arm support having a cover having an armrest surface for resting or supporting a part of an arm on the vehicle interior or vehicle exterior, in particular for resting a forearm, of a front or rear vehicle occupant.
Correspondingly, the arm support can be arranged in one embodiment on a front or rear central console or door interior panel. In one embodiment, the armrest surface has a surface area of at least 100 cm2, in particular at least 200 cm2.
In one embodiment, the cover having the armrest surface is movable in relation to the motor vehicle, in particular to adapt the position of the armrest surface to different body sizes and/or operating situations and/or to close a storage compartment if desired. In a refinement, the cover is rotatable, preferably by at least 450, in relation to the motor vehicle, in particular in relation to a motor vehicle body or a reference fixed on a vehicle interior unit, in particular a housing of the arm support, in particular a central console. The cover can be rotatable or pivotable in particular about a vehicle longitudinal axis, in particular to close a storage compartment if desired. Additionally or alternatively, in one embodiment it can be rotatable or pivotable about a vehicle transverse axis, in particular to close a storage compartment if desired and/or to adjust its inclination and thus to adapt the position of the armrest surface to different body sizes and/or operating dimensions.
Additionally or alternatively, the cover is displaceable in one embodiment in relation to the motor vehicle, in particular in relation to a motor vehicle body or a reference fixed on a vehicle interior unit, in particular a housing of the arm support, in particular a central console, preferably by at least 2 cm, in particular by at least 5 cm.
The cover can be displaceable in particular in a vehicle longitudinal and/or transverse direction, in particular to close a storage compartment if desired and/or to adapt its position to different body sizes and/or operating situations. Additionally or alternatively, in one embodiment it can be displaceable in a vehicle vertical direction, in particular to adjust its height and thus to close a storage compartment if desired and/or to adapt the position of the armrest surface to different body sizes and/or operating situations.
In particular, for this purpose the movable cover of the arm support, which has or defines the armrest surface, can be connected, so it is movable via a corresponding joint arrangement having one or multiple rotating and/or sliding joints or guides, to a housing of the arm support, in particular a central console.
According to one aspect of the present invention, an input interface ("human-machine interface" HMI) for operating a vehicle communication, information, and/or entertainment means is integrated in the cover, in particular its armrest surface.
A vehicle communication, information, and/or entertainment means can have in particular a telephone, a navigation system, an onboard computer, and/or one or multiple, in particular audio and/or visual, entertainment means, in particular a car radio andior music and/or video playback devices, in particular can be such a device.
The input interface can have or in particular be in one embodiment a touchpad, an optical gesture detection means, an input rotary knob, and/or an input ball.
A touchpad can be implemented in one embodiment as pressure-sensitive and/or touch-sensitive such that by applying a corresponding minimal pressure in a predefined region and/or covering a corresponding region, a command to operate the vehicle communication, information, and/or entertainment means, for example, to input a number or a name, select an onboard computer menu, input an onboard computer parameter, select a radio broadcaster, adjust a volume, or the like can be input. In one embodiment, the touchpad is implemented as a touchpad or touchscreen. It can be configured in particular for simultaneous actuation using two or more fingers. For this purpose, it can be configured in one embodiment for the purpose of detecting a simultaneous application of a minimal pressure in various regions and/or simultaneous covering of various regions. In this way, in one embodiment, multi-finger gestures can also be used for input in particular, for example, drawing apart or rotating two fingers in relation to one another.
An optical gesture detection means can have, in one embodiment, an optical recording means, in particular a camera, and an image processing unit, which is configured for the purpose of identifying different gestures of a hand detected by the recording means and assigning corresponding input commands.
An input rotary knob and/or an input ball can be configured in one embodiment for the purpose of detecting input commands by twisting around one axis (input rotary knob) or two or three axes (input ball). In one refinement, an input command, in particular a selection or confirmation command, can be detected or input by displacing, in particular pressing down, the input rotary knob or input ball.
The invention will be explained in greater detail hereafter in particular on the basis of an input interface in the form of a touch pad, the explanations also apply in a corresponding manner for other input interfaces, in particular having an optical gesture detection means, an input rotary knob, andlor an input ball.
By way of the integration of an input interface, in particular a touchpad, in the movable cover, in particular its armrest surface, in one embodiment, interference of an operating element with a movement of the cover can be reduced, preferably avoided.
In one embodiment, the cover, in particular its armrest surface, has an uppermost cover layer facing toward the vehicle interior or the occupant. This can be in particular a cover of an interior panel of the motor vehicle, a lacquering, or the like.

In other words, the input interface, in particular the touchpad, can protrude from the cover, in particular its armrest surface, preferably by at most 5 cm, in particular by at most 2 cm. In this way, the operation and/or installation/removal can be improved in one embodiment.
In particular, in one embodiment, the movable cover can have a corresponding recess for this purpose, in which a modular input interface, in particular a modular touchpad, is arranged detachably or permanently, in particular in a friction-locked, formfitting, or integrally-joined manner, in particular screwed, latched, clamped, or glued on.
In another embodiment, the input interface, in particular the touchpad and/or its pressure-sensitive and/or touch-sensitive region, is arranged below the cover layer. In other words, the input interface, in particular the touchpad, can be entirely or partially concealed or covered by the cover layer. In one embodiment, interference with a movement of the cover can be reduced, preferably avoided, by an input interface countersunk in the cover, in particular its armrest surface, in such a manner.
In particular, to improve the operation, the cover layer, at least in the region of the input interface, in particular the touchpad, can be implemented as transparent, in particular selectively, so that the input interface lying underneath is recognizable, in particular at least selectively, preferably at least one or more predefined regions thereof, by which commands can be input by the application of pressure thereto andlor covering or concealment.
S
Additionally or alternatively, a cover layer which is opaque, in particular at least in the region of the input interlace, in particular of the touchpad, can have one or more optic and/or haptic markings for actuating the input interface arranged underneath the cover layer, in particular imprints, embossing, or the like. In this way, the operation can be S improved in each case in one embodiment.
