Abstract

The basket includes a frame 6, a base 5 and a collapsible side 3, 4 connecting the frame to the base. A set of multi-use handles 1 allow the basket to be carried and hung upside down on a clothes line or other hanging device (Figure 3a). The base includes pre formed holes or slits to accommodate the hanging of undergarments such as socks or underwear etc. The holes or slits may be formed from rubber, plastic, silicone or similar material. The frame and base may have a cylindrical, rectangular, square or kidney-shaped configuration. The frame can be collapsed in a horizontal fashion over the base.

HELD OF INVENTION.
The field of invention relates to a laundry basket apparatus, and more particularly pertahis to a new and improved Collapsible Laundry basket consisting of a frame a base with a built in feature in the base of the basket having the means to hang socks undergarments and other small items of clothing through pre made holes/slots to the base of the laundry basket a coUapsible substance connecting said frame to said base. On the frame a set of multi use handles for the purpose of I carrying basket and 2 hanging basket upside down on dothes line or other hanging device.
The laundry basket once collapsed and the undergarments inserted can then be flipped over and hung from a clothes line or other hanging device.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION:
Carrying laundry around a family home, multi-unit dwelling or to and from a utility/laundry room area to clothes line is a common task. Many variations of conventional laundry baskets have been developed to assist with this task, yet most remain subject to several shortcomings. In particular, conventional laundry baskets are just that a laundry basket designed to carry laundry. Accordingly there exists a need for a new and improved Collapsible Laundry basket consisting of a frame a base with a built in feature in the base of the basket having the means to hang socks undergarments and other small items of clothing through pre made holes/slots to the base of the laundry basket a coflapsibe substance connecting said frame to said base. On the frame a set of multi use handles for the purpose of 1 carrying basket and 2 hanging basket upside down on clothes line or other hanging device. The laundry basket once collapsed and the undergarments inserted can then be flipped over and hung from a clothes line or other hanging device.
STATEMENT OF NVENTON:
Accordingly there is provided a Collapsible Laundry basket consisting of a frame a base with a built in feature in the base of the basket having the means to hang socks undergarments and other small items of clothing through pre made holes/slots to the base of the laundry basket a coapsibe substance connecting said frame to said base. On the frame a set of rnufti use hand'es for the purpose of 1 carrying basket and 2 hanging basket upside down on dothes inc or other hanging device. The laundry basket once collapsed and the undergarments inserted can then be flipped over and hung from a clothes line or other hanging device.Collapsible sides for easy storage when not in use and for maximum laundry load when upright and in use. The multifunction base acts as a support to carry large loads of laundry to and from the laundry room and clothesline and also has one of the main features of converting into a means to hang socks undergarments and other small items of clothing through pre made holes/slots flip over and hang from your clothes line to dry.

Detailed Description
Referring now to the drawings and initially to Figure Ia 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6 there is illustrated The invention A Collapsible Laundry basket consisting of a frame a base (wherein the frame and base is comprised of resilient steel, resilient polymer, resilient carbon, or other resilient composite material. Wherein the frame and base is of a square, kidney, cylindrical, rectangular, or other configuration. Wherein said tame can be collapsed in a horizontal fashion over said base. Wherein said collapsible substance assumes the area between said frame and said base and forms the surrounding walls. Wherein said collapsible substance consists of polyester cloth cotton fibre silicone (or other like substances).Will have a featured base with pre formed holes or slits formed from rubber plastic silicone or other similar material to accommodate the hanging of undergarments (socks underwear etc).with a built in feature in the base of the basket having the means to hang socks undergarments and other small items of clothing through pm made holes/slots to the base of the laundry basket a collapsible substance connecting said frame to said base.
On the frame a set of multi use handles for the purpose of I carrying basket and 2 hanging basket upside down on clothes line or other hanging device.
The laundry basket once collapsed and the undergarments inserted can then be flipped over and hung from a clothes line or other hanging device.
Referring now to Figure 2a I there is illustrated an inside view of the laundry basket and in particular showing the featured base with pm made holes or slits to accommodate the hanging of undergarments (socks underwear etc).
Referring now to figure 3a I there is illustrated a view of the laundry flipped and hanging from the clothes line and in particular showing the featured base with pre made holes or slits to hanging undergarments (socks underwear etc) on the dothesline.

Claims (8)

  1. CLAIMS1. The embodiment of the invention, in which exclusive privilege or property is claimed, are defined as follows (I claim): 1. A collapsible laundry basket, comprising; a)aframe; b)a base; c) a collapsible substance connecting said frame to said base.d) a set of multi use handles for the purpose of I carrying basket and 2 hanging basket upside down on clothes line or other hanging device.e) a featured base with pre formed holes or slits formed from rubber plastic silicone or other similar material to accommodate the hanging of undergarments (socks underwear etc).
  2. 2. The laundry basket of claim I, wherein the frame and base is comprised of resilient steel, resilient polymer, resilient carbon, or other resilient composite material.
  3. 3. The laundry basket of claim 2, wherein the frame and base is of a kidney, cylindrical, rectangular, square, or other configuration.
  4. 4. The laundry basket of claim 3, wherein said frame can be collapsed in a horizontal fashion over said base.
  5. 5. The laundry basket of claim 4, wherein said collapsible substance assumes the area between said tame and said base and forms the surrounding walls. a
  6. 6. The laundry basket of daim 5, wherein said co apsbe substance consists of polyester doth cotton fibre sihcone (or other ike substances).
  7. 7. The laundry basket of daim 6, wherein said (or other ike substances) consists of substances who's properties and characteristics are similar to that of polyester doth cotton fibre sihcone, or of other such polymers.
  8. 8. The laundry basket of daim 7, wifl have a featured base with pre formed holes or sUts formed from rubber pastic siicone or other simfiar materia to accommodate the hanging of undergarments (socks underwear etc).
