Abstract
A method of constructing a fixed cutter hole opener device with cutter arms installed on a J slot mechanism, where the cutter arms can only be installed and uninstalled when the central wash tube is removed from the tool. The cutter arms may be installed on a J slot mechanism, which can be interpreted as a J-slot mechanism, pin and groove mechanism, indexing mechanism or pin and track mechanism.
