251,549. Soc. des Appareils Mephisto, J. Manfredi, et Cie. June 25, 1925, [Convention date]. Vulcanizing. - A tvre-repairing element for use with a vulcanizer is heated by automatically ignited combustible material. The element comprises a rubber patch a impregnated with sulphur under a metallic cup b containing a combustible composition d, such as strawboard and potassium nitrate, with a covering of igniting material, such as potassium nitrate and phosphorus. The igniting material is protected by cardboard e covered with paraffin and varnish. The element is ignited in the vulcanizer by sparks from ferro-cerium flints. Specification 251,550 is referred to.
