Abstract

An indoor or outdoor football training rebound device comprising a central hub and rebound boards which slot into the central hub. The hub has multiple slot configurations to support up to twelve players and a wide range of angles between the Rebound boards. Each player can use between 1 and 2 boards depending on the exercise that they want to perform. The boards may have a target point marked on them. Altering the angle at which the ball is passed onto the rebound board will alter the angle at which the ball will bounce back from the board. A second board can be inserted into the hub to create an angle between the boards to allow for various interactions between the ball.

A football is kicked or passed from the feet onto the rebound board. The Boards have a target point marked on them. If the football is passed onto the Board at a 900 angle, the football will bounce back from the Board at the same angle. Altering the angle at which the ball is passed onto the Rebound Board will alter the angle at which the ball will bounce back from the board. A second Board can be inserted into the hub to create an angle between the Boards. This allows for various interactions between the ball, the Boards and the Player(s).
By passing the ball from the feet to the board(s) and back again will improve confidence, ball control, balance and fitness.
The Central Hub (the Hub') The central hub contains slots into which the rebound boards will fit. Configurations ranging from Five to twelve slot hubs will cover all of the likely angle and board configurations. The number of slots on the central hub determines the number of rebound boards that can be used and the angle configurations between the boards. The number of Rebound Bards will determine the number of simultaneous players. E.g.
With eight slots at 45° angles the configurations are 3600, 180°, 135°, 90° and 45°. With 5 slots at 72° angles the configurations are 360°, 144°, 72°. With six slots at 60° angles the configurations are 360°, 180°, 120° and 60°. With seven slots at 51.4° angles the configurations are 360°, 154.2°, 102.8° and 51.4°. With nine slots at 40° angles the configurations are 360°, 160°, 120°, 800 and 40°.
With ten slots at 36° angles the configurations are 360°, 180°, 144°, 108°, 72° and 36°. With eleven slots at approximately 32.72 angles the configurations are 360°, 163.60°, 130.88°, 98.16°, 65.44°and 32.72°. With twelve slots at 30° angles the configurations are 360°, 180°, 150°, 120°, 90°, 60° and 30°. Hybrid hubs have a combinations of slots and angles, eg 33°, 450, 60°, 72° to provide the full spectrum of angle combinations.
The Rebound or Passing Board (the Board') The Boards slot into the Hub and provides a surface onto which the Football is passed. The Boards have a target point marked on them. If the football is passed onto the Board at a 90° angle, the football will bounce back from the Board at the same angle. Altering the angle at which the ball is passed onto the Rebound Board will alter the angle at which the ball will bounce back from the board. A second Board can be inserted into the hub to create an angle between the Boards (see angle configurations above.). This allows for various interactions between the ball, the Boards and the Player(s). Multiple Boards are used for multiple Player exercises.
The Football (the Ball') Various sizes of an indoor and an outdoor ball are available.
