Abstract
A reusable handle comprises a single elongated strap, at each end of the longitudinal axis of the strap there is an opening 2 that leads to an elliptical opening 4, between the openings 2 is a handle 1. In use, the loop handles of a plastic bag are pushed into and retained by the elliptical opening 4, and protects the users hands when carrying the plastic bag. The reusable handle can be repositioned when in use and attached to the handles of a bag. The handle may be made from a various materials such as plasticized cardboard, cardboard, materials, rubber, plastics or malleable plastics or the like.
Description
I
Title: REUSABLE HANDLE
FIELD OF INVENTION
This invention relates to a reusable handle for loop handle plastic bags.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Plastic bags have been used for many years, the cheapest manufactured plastic bags when carrying heavy loads the handles can begin to cut into the hand and be quite painful. The present invention aims to provide a useful handle that protects the hand, is reusable and cheap to manufacture.
Users of plastic bags have previously not used additional handles to aid there use or they could have used the following reusable handles.
A handle by Zdravkovic Slavis (YU) in patent no: YU2003MP00116U20031128 is intheform of a U' shape, this does not attach itself to the plastic bag and requires much more material in its manufacture.
A handle by Rimland Bernard (US) in patent no: US 198700095305 19870911 is in the form of a U' shape, this requires much more material in its manufacture.
The present invention using the minimum amount of material to form a handle and attaches itself to the plastic bag until it needs to be removed.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The present invention serves to protect the hand from the handles of loop handle plastic bags when they hurt the hand under loading.
The present invention is easily attached to the loop handles of plastic bags.
The present invention can be easily repositioned on the bag whilst attached.
The present invention is easily carried due to its small size and light weight.
DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
Preferred embodiment of the present invention aim to provide a reusable handle that may be generally improved in the foregoing respects.
According to one aspect of the present invention, there is provided a handle comprising; an elongate strip adapted at each end to allow the loop handles of plastic bags or other suitable materials to be pushed into the apertures at each end until they rest within the elliptical areas.
For a better understanding of the invention and to show how embodiment of the same may be carried into effect, reference will now be made, by way of example, to the accompanying diagrammatic drawings, in which: Figure 1 illustrates one example of an embodiment of a reusable handle, in three-dimensional projection; Figure 2 illustrates one example of an embodiment of a reusable handle, in plan view; Figure 3 illustrates one example of an embodiment of a reusable handle, in side view; Figure 4 illustrates one example of an embodiment of a reusable handle, in end view; In the figures, like reference denotes like or corresponding parts.
The reusable handle illustrated in Figures 1 to 4 comprises a single elongated strip with open ends 2 a narrow section 3 and elliptical opening 4. The solid handle section at 1.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
Figure 1 illustrates one example of an embodiment of a reusable handle, in three-dimensional projection; Figure 2 illustrates one example of an embodiment of a reusable handle, in plan view; Figure 3 illustrates one example of an embodiment of a reusable handle, in side view; Figure 4 illustrates one example of an embodiment of a reusable handle, in end view; Obviously, numerous variations and modifications can be made without departing from the spirit of the present invention. Therefore it should be clearly understood that the form of the present invention described above and shown in figures of the accompanying drawings are illustrative only and are not intended to limit the scope of the present invention.
