Abstract

A bricklayers profile tool is suitable for holding a builders line 3, and includes a main staff section (1, Fig. A) that is capable of supporting, separately or in combination, both a co-operative clamp 18 of a swivelable stay 53 and a cross-clamp (58, 62, 63, Fig. J) for fitting to a framework or separate skin of blockwork. The tool also has a compression clamp (29, 42, 43, Fig. B) at the base of the staff that can extend to fix around multiple courses of bricks. The tool is primarily fabricated from extruded aluminium.

Description

BRICKLAYERS PROFILE TOOL
THIS INVENTION
This present invention relates to a single bricklayers profile tool unit that can be duplicated to be used in multiple construction situations to string a building line from one and to the other of which unit is a fully gauged and governed sblf stabilized reversible adjustable bricklayers profile tool that can be utilized to fix to any degree of base or any course line of brickwork and the likes which can be plumbed and secured in any plain to give a continual visual readout to be perfectly upright of which most of the essential parts for the unit are at least made from fabricated extruded aluminum section that will provide for the main staff and a fully stabilized compression clamping facility which incorporates building and manufacturing set guide marks of which unit includes global swivel and cross clamping facilities that will allow for the building of all straight squint indentation projection battered angle and most all building situations on most types of brickwork blockwork brad and stonework and timber frame clad constructions or similar that will allow for the inhibited through building of any progressive building works and for the complete raking or jointing or pointing of the mortar joints as the works proceed in order to achieve the finished unobstructed full height of a lift of construction.
KNOWN OTHER BRICKLAYERS PROFILE TOOLS
With most all other brickwork profiles you will need a separate profile tool for each individual construction setup, for example one type for external corners, another type for internal corners and another type for straight sections and another for squint corners which needs a mountain of different clamping devices for each type of imit.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF ACCOMPYING DRAWINGS
The Lifting Tool will now be described in reference to the accompanying drawings.
Fig A is a view of the essential elements of the basic bricklayers profile tool.
Fig B is a view of at least one configuration of a main-clamp as would be fixed to brickwork of which can extend to any number of courses such as fixed on up to three bricks or a block high or more.
Fig C is a view of the bricklayers profile tool fixed for an external corner on brickwork, and this would be similar for blockwork, stonework or bradstone or other.
Fig D is a plan view of the profile fixed for an external corner.
Fig E is a plan view of the main-clamp, line-hitch-slide and line-hitch showing how the line is coursed through the grooves and line-snatch, for an external corner on brickwork.
Fig F is a view of the slide and adjustable line-hitch, Fig G is a view of the bricklayers profile tool fixed for an internal corner on brickwork, and this would be similar for blockwork, stonework or bradstone and the likes.
Fig H is a plan view of the profile fixed for an internal corner on brickwork or any other anchoring location.
Fig J is a view of a cross-clamp-set for cross fixing to a timber frame.
Fig K is a view of a cross-clamping-set cross fixed onto blockwork.
Fig L is a view of a setup on a brickwork squint corner which is cross clamped to a stanchion with at least a mole-grip; and you can also cross-clamp to timber frame or blockwork or ground location etc when those situations arise Fig M is a view of a profile setup on a straight section of brickwork that is cross-clamped to a stanchion; you can also cross-clamp as mentioncd herein..
Fig N is a view of an alternative foot-jaw and nylon governing spacers.
Fig P is a view of another foot-jaw designed for at least aluminum extrusion.
Figs R are views of the bricklayers profile tool main staff and line hitch sections designed for at least aluminum extrusion.
Fig S is a view of the preferred section for at least aluminum extrusion for the main-clamp and foot-jaw Fig T shows the main-clamp and foot-jaw sections bolted in place on brickwork.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF ACCOMPYING DRAWINGS
Referring to Fig A The profile staff 1 has a slide section 2 to accommodate slide 3 which can be secured inside the slide-section 2 by thumbscrew 6 of which adjustable line-hitch 4 is secured to slide 3 at adjusting-screws 7 whereby hole 8 of staff I matches up with hole 35 of main-clamp 29 whereby bolt 31 slots through with washer to be secured with handwheel 51 whereas short-stay 15 will be secured by bolt 30 through washer 28 through main-clamp hole 34 through hole 39 of short-stay 15 to be secured by bolt 27 thorough washer 28 through hole 14 of staff 1 and cleat 16 to be secured with handwheel 17 whereby bolts 36 and 37 will insert through washers 48 and 49 through holes 44 and 46 of foot-jaws 44 and 45 through main-clamp holes 32 and 33 and washers 38 and 39 whereby the main-clamp 29 and the foot-jaws 42 and 43 will locate the top and underside of the bricks to be secured there by nuts 40 and 41 arid the bolt 20 will insert through global-swivel-clamp 18 at 19 and through any hole Ii of the staff Ito insert through washer 12 to be secured there by handwheel 13 whereby the bolt 22 will insert through hole 21 of swivel-clamp 18 and fixed there with nut 23 for the long-stay 53 (not shown here) will be clamped here by cleat 24 on bolt 22 and secured with handwheel 26 whereas bubble-level 10 will be fixed into aperture 9 to allow the unit to be plumbed upright.
Referring to Fig B shows the main-clamp 29 placed upon bricks 68 whereby foot-jaws 43 and 44 are upon bolts 36 and 37 and under the bricks 68 for nuts 41 and 40 to be tightened up to secure the main-clamp 29 to the brickwork 68 whereas the main-staff 1 would be fixed upon bolt 3 1 and the short stay on bolt 30.
Referring to Fig C shows the bricklayers profile tool fixed upon an external corner of brickwork whereby long-stay 53 is fixed to the brickwork at configuration of handwheel 54 and secured at the staff at the global-swivel-clamp 18 while plumbing the staff I with a hand level or staff spirit-bubbles 10 and also in the other plain likewise on short-stay 15 at handwheel 17 to be filly stabilized and fixed as described at Fig B whereas the line-hitch 3 is secured in the slide section 2 of the staff ito carry the line 55 for laying the bricks to this course line of bricks.
Referring to Fig D shows the main-clamp fixed as described at Fig B and C whereby you can see the long-stay 53 is secured to the brickwork 68 with L-bolt 54 through a joint of the brickwork to secure the long-stay with cleat 57 (or a pre drilled hole in the stay not shown) to be secured there with handwheel 56 and you can see that both stays are swept away from the staff 1 to allow any construction to progress to pass the unit and you can also see that the global-swivel-clamp 18 allows the line-hitch 4 to also pass through to allow inhibited construction.
Referring to Fig F is a plan view of the main-clamp 29 and staff I and line-hitch 4 showing how the line 55 is coursed through the grooves and line securing snatch of the line-hitch 4 for an external corner and the internal or squint line will be around the outside and back as would match these construction lines.
Referring to Fig F is the line-hitch 4 fixed onto slide 3 secured by adjusting screws 7 in the aperture of the line hitch which allows for the line-hitch to be adjusted to suit any construction it is placed upon to keep near absolute line level and plumb.
Referring to Fig G shows the bricklayers profile tool setup on an internal corner of brickwork of which another profile would be sctup on any other type of straight section or corner or other in order to string a building line from one and to the other to build any construction as the work proceeds.
Referring to Fig H shows a plan view of the internal corner setup whereas you can see the long stay 53 is now swept away to the otherside of the profile upon the global-swivel-clamp 18 to plumb and secure there which gives a free opening for any internal construction to progress through and to bypass the unit.
Referring to Fig J shows a cross-clamping-set for attaching to a timber frarne whereby tube-slide 58 can be screwed to any location at any degree through holes 61 and cross-strut 62 would be inserted into tube-slide 58 to be secured there by handwheel 59 through nut 60 whereby the distal L-end of cross-strut 62 would be inserted through the hole 64 of L-clamp 63 to shroud a profile-staff to be secured there by handwheel 65 through shroud 67 through nut 66 to screw against the shroud inner surface to clamp onto any profile staff Referring to Fig K is another type of cross-clamp used for securing the cross-strut 62 to blockwork 67 (as similarly described at D for long-stay) and with global swivel-clampiS.
Referring to Fig L is a brickwork squint corner setup whereby you can see the main-staff 1 is cross clamped from the global-swivel-clamp in its uppermost position in this instance and to a stanchion (as described herein for cross clamping) and of course you can cross-clamp to any construction or structure as described herein or use the long stay to any appropriate location with any clamping means possible such as a compression clamp a mole-grips or a G clamp or other.
Referring to Fig M is a setup on a straight run of brickwork usually on an expansion joint in the brickwork or a stop end or door or window opening or panel (and you can also use the bricklayers profile tools inside the web of the stanchion) and cross clamped as described herein and you can see the global-swivel-clamp 18 used here in a side position whereby the main-clamp is fixed upon three courses of brickwork for alternative foot-jaw 69 is secured as aforementioned with at least nylon spacers 71 position along the thread-rod of the foot-jaws 69 in order to keep them from deviating from a vertical ninety degree position of which is shown in more detail at Fig N. Referring to Fig N is the alternative foot-jaw 69 with at least a welded foot 70 that will allow its inhibited insertion under the brick at concrete base level whereon its threaded area are placed and positioned nylon governing spacers 71 to keep this thread-rod of 69 in a straight ninety degree secured position as shown at Fig M. Referring to Fig P is an alternative section that can be at least extruded in aluminum to provide for the main-clamp 29 and any foot-jaw 43 or 44 shown in Fig A. Referring to Fig R are the essential designs for at least aluminum extrusion of these sections for the main-Staff 1 the adjustable slide section 2 and line hitch 3.
Referring to Fig S is the main-clamp 1 (or in reverse the foot-jaw 43 and 44) whereas indents 70 and 71 will set for the drilling of the material and thereafter tapping through aperture 77 that will allow the foot-jaw bolt which is thread locked at its foot-end to pass through the main-clamp I to be secure and whereas the tapped holes through 71 will provide the bolts for the staff and the short-stay (as shown in Fig T 30) whereby setting the end and the serration area 74 and location area 73 flush and fixed to the brickwork at the main-staff 1 end (as shown in Fig T 30) this will set all the gauges of the main-staff while indent 76 will give the brick-line over the top of the main-clamp 1 and thereafter the line hitch 4 upon slide 3 (not shown here) will gauge for the progression of the construction works as it proceeds.
Referring to Fig T is the main-clamp fixed upon brickwork (as described at Fig S) whereby the foot-jaw bolt is passed through the main-clamp 1 and secured by the compression from nut 41 upon bolt 36 whereas nut 69 will keep the bolt rigid on three courses of brickwork or more or with the nut 69 removed for fixing to two courses of brickwork and bolt 30 will carry the main-staff as described herein.

Claims (4)

  1. PROPOSED CLAIMSA single bricklayers profile tool unit that can be duplicated to be used in multiple construction situations to string a building line from one and to the other of which unit is a fully gauged and governed self stabilized reversible adjustable bricklayers profile tool that can be utilized to fix to any degree of base or any course line of brickwork and the likes which can he plumbed and secured in any plain to give a continual visual readout to be perfectly upright of which most of the essential parts for the unit are at least made from fabricated extruded aluminum section that will provide for the main staff and a frilly stabilized compression clamping facility which incorporates building and manufacturing set guide marks of which unit includes global swivel and cross clamping facilities that will allow for the building of all straight squint indentation projection battered angle and most all building situations on most types of brickwork blockwork brad and stonework and timber frame clad constructions or similar that will allow for the inhibited through building of any progressive building works and for the complete raking or jointing or pointing of the mortar joints as the works proceed in order to achieve the finished unobstructed full height of a lift of construction.
  2. 2. A claim according to any claim herein is provided gauged marked material in order to manufacture a frilly stabilized adjustable compression clamp or base clamp that will also allow for the incorporation of bolts or the like in order to support any attachments preferred as such for example a TV aerial or flag pole or signage board and so on.
  3. 3. A claim according to any claim herein whereas the preferred embodiments herein must not be implied as limited as such and it must be open for the inventor to advance and better explain this invention with better descriptions or drawings to implement any improvements which can apparently be suited to this invention of which the inventor would logically progress or contemplate any advancement to adapt thc invention in accordance with the design of this invention and each or partly or combined reference in the claims regarding the primary use of the invention must not limit the generic or single or partly combined uses of this invention to be non essential elements of this invention in any new development or application the inventor wishes to make.
