Abstract

The invention presents a stand or cradle for a manual silk screen squeegee where the squeegee comprises a handle and a blade filled with paint and where the squeegee is put in a horizontal position with the handle within the stand and the blade facing upwards, when it is located within the stand/cradle. The stand/cradle comprises a first element A, a second element B and a third element C and can be made of wood, plastic, metal or a combination of materials. The cradle is preferentially made with a gap between the first and second elements of 33 millimeters or more, in order that the squeegee handle may fit between the elements.

Description
Title: Silk Screen Squeegee Stand (45) The idea of Squeegee Stand was born during one of my silk screen printing sessions.
Every time I put down the paint loaded squeegee on the table, the paint would run off it and would dirty the table or even the artwork. It seemed like pointless loss of paint as well as production of unnecessary mess. Therefore, I thought of holding squeegee with the paint loaded blade upright with the handle rested in some kind of a cradle. Every time I would not use squeegee it would rest in it.
Silk Screen Squeegee Stand (4S) is an object which supports silk screen squeegee to stay in a horizontal position (with its blade facing upwards) when it is not in an immediate use.
4S has three elements, A, B and C, as shown on Perspective Drawing and is made either of wood (prototype), plastic or metal or all three combinations. A and B wooden parts are glued to base C, also made of wood, with Epoxy glue.
Sizes, or even shapes, of three elements A, B and C can slightly vary from the ones shown on a Technical Drawing as long as A and B is not any lower and the gap between A and B is not less then 33 millimetres otherwise squeegee will not be able to fit in between A and B elements.
4S invention solved the problem of finding a suitable place for squeegee after every use during its manual operation on the silk screen. It makes manual printing more organised and much more cleaner. It also saves the paint which is not being now spilled on to the
table.
