Description
ARMREST DEVICE
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
O1 The present invention relates to an armrest, and more particularly to an armrest device with simple and stable structure. The armrest device is low-cost and has attractive appearance, besides, it will not generate undesired sound or fall down automatically hi use, which makes a user of the armrest feel comfortable.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
1021 A passenger may feel comfortable during travel by vehicle if seat is installed with an armrest. Existing armrest for vehicles generally comprises an armrest injection-molded part and an armrest fixing member, the armrest injection-molded part and the armrest fixing member are connected by a hinge system. As for the armrest device having said hinge system. the injection-molded part thereof frequently falls down automatically because of loose location, and the armrest device always generates undesired sound when the injection-molded part rotates from its rest position to its usage position or from its usage position to its rest position. In addition, the hinge system of existing armrest device is hard to be disassembled, and it is also easily worn and thus has a short service life.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[p31 An object of tills invention is to provide an armrest device with stable structure and long service life, and the armrest device will not generate undesired sound or fall down automatically in use, which makes a user of the armrest feel
comfortable.
[04] The object of the present invention is achieved through the following technicai solutions: an armrest device comprising an armrest injection-molded part and an armrest fixing member, the armrest injection-molded part being rotatably connected to the armrest fixing member through a rotation system, characterized in that, the rotation system comprises: a slide slot provided in the armrest injection-molded part for changing relative position between the armrest injection-molded part and the armrest fixing member, a sheet-metai member having a siide rail, which is fixed to the armrest injection-molded part by a fixation bolt, a rotation bolt sliding in the slide rail, and a rotation-limiting locating member for locating the armrest injection-molded part in its rest position or in its usage position.
1051 Preferably, the rotation bolt is sleeved with a shaft sleeve which can avoid undesired sound generated from friction and collision between the rotation bolt and the sheet-metal member having the slide rail.
[06] Preferably, the rotation-limiting locating member comprises: a shaft bolt, a locating hole provided in the armrest fixing member for locating the armrest injection-molded part as it rotates to its rest position or to its usage position, and a small hole provided in the armrest injection-molded part and adjacent to the shaft bolt, the small hole having a metal sleeve therein, and the metal sleeve receiving a compression spring, a steel ball and an inner bolt that can be screwed into one end of the spring.
[07] The beneficial effects of the armrest device of the present invention are as follows. The armrest device comprises an armrest injection-molded part and an armrest fixing member, the armrest injection-molded part being rotatably connected to the armrest fixing member through a rotation system, the rotation system comprises: a slide slot provided in the armrest injection-molded part for changing relative position between the arnirest injection-molded part and the armrest fixing member, a sheet-metal member having a slide rail, which is fixed to the armrest injection-molded part by a fixation bolt, a rotation bolt sliding in the slide rail, and a rotation-limiting locating member for locating the armrest injection-molded part in its rest position or in its usage position. The rotation-limiting locating member includes a steel ball and a locating hole for clamping the steel ball. When a user wants to utilize the armrest device and rotates the injection-molded part, the armrest injection-molded part rotates about the rotation bolt, relative position between the armrest injection-molded part and the armrest fixing member then changes. When the armrest injection-molded part has rotated to its usage position, the inner bolt presses against the compression spring, the conipression spring then presses the steel ball into a usage-position locating hole, such that the steel ball is clamped tightly by the usage-position locating hole. When the user doesn't need the armrest and folds it, the steel ball slides out of the usage-position locating hole and presses the compression spring.
When the injection-molded part has rotated to its rest position, the inner bolt presses against the compression spring, the compression spring then presses the steel ball into a rest-position locating hole, such that the steel ball is clamped tightly by the rest-position locating hole. The armrest device of the present invention will not generate undesired sound or fall down automatically in use, which makes a user of the armrest feel comfortable, besides, the armrest device has a short service life.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
[08] FIG. 1 is a perspective view of an armrest injection-molded part of the present invention; [09] FIG. 2 is a perspective view of an armrest device of the present invention; [101 FIG. 3 is a perspective view of an armrest fixing member of the present invention; ii FIG. 4 is an explosive view of a rotation-limiting locating member of the present invention.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS OF
THE INVENTION
112] Referring to FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, the armrest device of the present invention comprises an armrest injection-molded part 1 and an armrest fixing member 2, the armrest injection-molded part is rotatably connected to the armrest fixing member through a rotation system, wherein the rotation system comprises: a slide slot 3 provided in the armrest injection-molded part for changing relative position between the armrest injection-molded part and the armrest fixing member, a sheet-metal member 4 having a slide rail, which is fixed to the armrest injection-molded part by a fixation bolt, a rotation bolt 5 sliding in the slide rail, and a rotation-limiting locating member for locating the armrest injection-molded part in its rest position or in its usage position.
j13[ Referring to FIG. 1, the rotation bolt S is sleeved with a shaft sleeve 6, in this way, undesired sound geiierated from friction and collision between the rotation bolt and the sheet-metal member having a slide rail can be avoided.
1141 Referring to FIG. 2, the rotation-limiting locating member comprises a shaft bolt 7, a locating hole 8 provided in the armrest fixing member for locating the armrest injection-molded part as it rotates to its rest position or to its usage position, and a small hole 9 provided hi the armrest injection-molded part and adjacent to the shaft bolt, the small hole having a metal sleeve 10 therein, and the metal sleeve 10 receiving a compression spring 11, a steel ball 12 and an inner bolt 13 that can be screwed into one end of the spring. The metal sleeve is molded
S
integral with the armrest injection-molded part though injection molding process, such that the metal sleeve can be well fixed in the armrest injection-molded part.
The steel ball 12 and the compression spring 11 are successively placed into the metal sleeve, and the inner bolt 13 is used to press the compression spring 11 to locate the steel ball at one end of the metal sleeve 10. In this way, the "locating" effect realized during rotating of the armrest device of the present invention can be achieved through the engagement between the steel ball 12 and the locating hole 8 in the armrest fixing member.
[15) When a user wants to utilize the armrest device and rotates the injection-molded part, the armrest injection-molded part rotates about the rotation bolt, relative position between the armrest injection-molded part and the armrest fixing member then changes. When the armrest injection-molded part has rotated to its usage position, the inner bolt presses against the compression spring, the compression spring then presses the steel ball into a usage-position locating hole, such that the steel ball is clamped tightly by the usage-position locating hole.
When a user doesn't need the armrest and folds it, the steel ball slides out of the usage-position locating hole and presses the compression spring. When the injection-molded part has rotated to its rest position, the inner bolt presses against the compression spring, the compression spring then presses the steel ball into a rest-position locating hole, such that the steel ball is clamped tightly by the rest-position locating hole.
Ii6 While the preferred embodiments of the invention have been described above, but it is not intended to be exhaustive to Emit the invention, it will be recognized and understood that various modifications, equivalent replacement and improvement may be made therein, and the appended claims are intended to cover all such modifications which may fall within the spirit and scope of the invention.
