Abstract

A cosmetics container comprises a hollow, semi-spherical cap unit 10 and a base unit 20 assembled together with a central ring unit 30. The central ring unit 30 is attached to a circular opening of the base unit 20 and forms a structure around which the liquid product can solidify after it is poured into the container. A threaded surface 34 is provided on the central ring unit 30 for fastening the cap 10. A paste of cosmetic material may be filled into the container via a filling perforation (23, fig.2) at the bottom portion of the base unit 20. The outer surface of the cap unit 10 and base units 20 may be of a double-layered structure formed of different materials such that the outer appearance of the container can have decorative designs.

Description

TITLE: Cosmetic Package Container
(a) Tecimical Field of the Invention
The present invention is related to a cosmetic package container, in particular, to a three-piece assembly of a cosmetic package container filled with a paste of cosmetic material. The structural configuration of the cosmetic paclcage container utilizes a hollow cap unit assembled onto a base unit provided for filling of the cosmetic material, and the two are of a symmetrical shape manufactured by injection molding with a double-layer structure with lirner and outer layers to form a sphere that is appealing to the eye. The lirner hollow and polished surfaces thereof cooperate with the central ring unit with a net structure fastened onto tile base unit to form a fastened frame protruding at the central section thereof as well as with the bottom portion of the base unit having a filling perforation such that the cosmetic material filled into the container can be retained and hold therein. The cap unit is fastened onto the central ring unit directly to form a spherical shape that is appealing to the eye such that the cosmetic package container is of practical uses with safe securement in addition to its novel outer appearance.
(b) Description of the PriorArt

Common cosmetic package containers filled with a paste-type of cosmetic material are mostly of the design of an elongated tubular shape such as a lip stick container, mid such type of containers with elongated shapes are mere modifications with special curves to the outer appearance of common lip stick containers. Most of these variations of designs to the container are to bring newer and more defined appearances in comparison to others; however, despite the fact that these designs introduce more or less variations to the appearances of the containers, they still fail to create a distinct appearance that is completely different from an elongated shape; in other words, such elongated shape of appearance of containers can still cause confrisions to users having other containers such as eyelash paste, eye gel and eye pencil that are also of the design of elongated shapes, in their purses or bags, for example, making it inconvenient for users to retrieve the desired cosmetic tool among them with ease. In addition, due to the complexity of the structures of the traditional containers adapted in theft design, these conventional containers cannot be assembled with ease but require skilled techniques or aids of special machinery for filling in order to complete the filling process of the manufacturing. As a result, the overall manufacturing cost is high and the filling process requires higher level of technology and technique o complete, which are the main reasons causing conventional lip stick related products to j be of high production costs and leading to such conventiolmi lip sticks to be of no distinction hi their appearances. hi view of different consumer groups, lip sticks pmvided for lip protection purposes are of greater population hi their applications mid usages; therefore, there is a need to provide a lip stick that can be distinguished from conventional lip sticks with ease and with an effectively reduced manufacturing cost while having a novel appearance that is entertaining and vivid and having a design that is convenient to the practical uses and portability of various groups and ages of consumers. In other words, there is a need to provide an improved cosmetic package container, hi particular, an iniproved structural design to a conventional container for lip stick products.
SUMMARY OF ThE INVENTION
To overcome the drawbacks of the conventional cosmetic containers filled with a paste of cosmetic material, having structures involving complicated components that intmduce difficulties to the assembly thereof and trivial appearances lacking distinction from other cosmetic products as well as higher production costs and other practical inconvenience in applications and usages, the inventor seeks to provide an improved cosmetic package container after years of research and development. The improved cosmetic package container of the present invention is of a novel spherical shape constituting the outer appearance thereof and is of a three-piece assembly such that the abovementioned drawbacks of having a complicated assembly of the container, inconvenience of filling of the cosmetic paste into the container and high production costs of the container can be overcome.
An objective of the present invention is to provide: a three-piece assembly of a cosmetic package container filled with a paste of cosmetic material such that the overall structural configuration of the container is simplified, the manufacturing process is facilitated and the overall production cost is lowered. A filling perforation provided for filling of the paste of the cosmetic material is predefined at the bottom portion of the container such that the paste of the cosmetic material can be filled and solidified to hold onto the predetermined upper and lower positions on the circular frame of tl1e central ring unit and such that the filling of the container of the present invention is facilitated for safety and economic purposes in order to achieve the practical applications mid usages thereof Another objective of the present invention is to provide a cosmetic paclcage container having a cap unit and a base unit respectively formed of a semi-spherical hollow shape and comprises a double-layer structure with inner and outer layers having diflërent materials to form the semi-spherical hollow shapes by injection molding respectively. The outer appearance of the container of the present invention can therefore be of any decorative designs and special shapes while having a novel and overall spherical shape that is appealing to the eye and is also of practical convenience to the use, such as retrieval of the container, and portability of the container of the present invention. In addition, the container of the present invention can also be entirely made of plastics such that it is of the merit of being environmental friendly for recycling.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
The present invention provides a cosmetic package container, in particular, to an improved cosmetic package container with a novel structural configuration designed to facilitate the filling of a cosmetic material into the empty container. Said cosmetic package container is of a generally spherical-shape constituting an outer appearance thereof and comprises a cap unit I and a base unit 20 provided for filling that are both formed of semi-spherical hollow shapes corresponding to each other in addition to a central ring unit 30 attached to a top edge of the base unit 20, forming a three-piece assembly of said cosmetic package container of the present invention. The outer appearance and shape of the completely assembled cosmetic container of the present invention can be enclosed by different layers of materials as inner and outer layers of the base wilt 20 and the cap unit 10 are formed of such different layers of materials such that for example, an outer appearance thereof can be made of a rubber material with elasticity and can too be stitched or patterned with various predeilned decorative designs such as the ones for different types of balls including soccer, basketball, baseball and tennis ball; therefore, the outer appearance of the cosmetic package container of the present invention is distinct from the ones of conventional cosmetic containers while having a novel decoratively designed outer appearance with variations in temis of the overall design of the container as a wl1ole. A shown in FIGs 1 -4, said cosmetic package container of the present invention comprises the cap unit 10 having a semi-spherical hollow shape pmvided correspondrngly in a top-dowii maimer mid the base unit 20 also having a semi-spherical hollow shape with a bottom portion thereof for attachment, hi addition, said cap unit 10 and said base unit 20 are fomied, during a production process thereof to be of a double-layered stmcture comprising an inner layer and an outer layer; wherein said inner layer is fomied of a hard plastic material with a polished surface and said outer surface is fornied of a rubber material with a softness and an elasticity such that the outer appearance of the container can be formed via molding directly accordingly to various predetined patterns, colors mid shapes. including the spherical shapes similar to such as the ones of soccer, basketball, baseball, temiis ball, The central hollow inner portion of the spherical shape of the cosmetic container of the present invention also comprises a prefomied central ring unit 30 attached to a top inner portion of the base unit 20 via securement means such as locking pins or fasteners. As shown in the figures, such securement thereof can be accomplished by providing a plurality of indented slots 31 and corresponding protrusions 21 respectively on the inner circumferential surfaces of the central ring unit 30 and the base unit 20 such that they can be secured via insertions and such that the protrusions 21 arranged in a ring form are pressed against a top edge of the base 10 correspondingly. hi addition, the base unit 20 is fbrther comprises a ring slot 22 slightly indented on a top edge thereof and pmvided for securement with a protrusion ring 35 provided on a bottom edge of the central ring unit 30. The central ring unit 30 further comprises a circular frame 32 with rows and columns extended inward and having said rows and columns thereof spaced apart from each other at a central section of the central ring unit 1 0 and a central through-hole 33 formed at a center thereof Furthermore, an outer circumference of the central ring unit 30 further comprises a securement frame edge protruding outward, and an outer circumference of the protruding frame edge comprises a threaded surface 34 provided for fastening with the cap unit 10 whereby the cap unit 10 can be fastened thereon with the corresponding threads provided on an inner edge thereof with ease. hi addition, the central ring unit 30 further comprises a locking protrusion edge protruding slightly outward at the corresponding fastening location such the cap unit 10 can be fastened and secured with ease to prevent slipping off thereof while the user can also identif3' the fastening position easily, making the operation of the cosnietic package container of the present invention easy, simple and user-friendly.
The bottom portion of the base unit 20 comprises having a flattened or slightly concaved inward platform surface such that the cosmetic package container of the present invention can be placed on a spot or surface stably.
The central bottom portion of the base unit 20 further comprises a filling perforation 23 provided for filling of a cosmetic material 40 in a paste form therein. During the filling process, a filling pipe can be inserted at a certain depth from said bottom of the base unit 20 and therein such that spilling or overshooting of the filling to the outer side thereof, causing contamination or damages to the container, can be prevented. The filling is also accomplished along with the central ring unit 30 provided on a central section of the container such that the circular frame 32 arranged at the center provides skeleton-type of positioning aids to the paste filled therein, allowing the paste of the cosmetic material 40 to be enclosed corresponding to the shape molded and to be solidified and hold onto suitable positions on the upper and lower sides of the circular frame 32, and such that the filling thereof is formed to correspond to a predetermined design of shape. In addition, after said filling of the paste of the cosmetic material, the filling perforation 23 on the bottom portion of the base unit 20 can be sealed by a sealing sticker 24 directly, such as a sticker canying a label of the maker, or by an insertion piece made of a rubber material, such as the one identical to the mbber material used for forming the outer appearance of the container; wherein the insertion piece can be an independently designed piece or as a connected piece pivotally attached to the outer appearance thereof as long as it serves the purpose of sealing the filling perforation properly and such that the cosmetic package container filled with the paste of cosmetic material is safe and such the operation and uses including such as retrieval thereof are convenient to the users. The cosmetic package container of the present invention is of a three-piece assembly utilizing an elastic double-layered structure with different materials selected for great visual presentation and design such that the cosmetic package container filled with cosmetic material is appealing to the eye and is practical to the operation and uses thereof The major improvement of the overall cosmetic package container of the present invention relies on structural designs that: the cap unit 10 and the base unit 20 for filling are of semi-spherical hollow shapes and are made of a double-layered structure having the inner and outer layers constructed with different materials, A, B, forming an outer appearance thereof with decorative patterns and designs in addition to a soft and elastic surface; at the inner portion of the assembled hollow sphere, a central ring unit 30 is attached to the top of the base unit 20 to form the assembly with the cap unit 10 such that the structural components required for tile container are simplified with less parts and assembly steps without the involvement of high-level skilled techniques; fhrthermore, as the double-layered structure with iiiner and outer layers are formed of different materials, the overall appearance can be made of various spherical shapes with decorations, making the container of the present invention distinct from other cosmetic tools or containers for easy retrieval and uses; also, with the aids provided by the circular frame 32 of the central ring unit and with the configuration of the predefined filling perforation 23 at the bottom portion of the base unit 20, the filling of the cosmetic material 40 is facilitated with a more reliable filling process and hardening as well as securement of the paste of the cosmetic material thereon to achieve the industrial standardization of manufacturing and practical convenience thereot in addition, by sealing the filling perforation with an insertion piece or sticker 24 at the bottom portion thereof, the cosmetic package container is made safe and appealing to the eye as a whole; furthermore, the retrieval of the cosmetic container is convenient to the user during its uses and the overall structure of a three-piece assembly of the container can be manufactured with ease such that the overall appearance is enclosed by different soft and comfortable material in order to form different spherical shapes with various designs and to achieve the anti-shock packaging and practical usages of the container; in particular, the cosmetic material filled inside the container can be a paste form of cosmetic material, making the container of the present invention filled with such cosmetic material safe and can be easily identified by users among other cosmetic tools or containers. The structural configuration and design of the cosmetic package container of the present invention is novel and of irnpmved effects over conventional containers in similar categories of cosmetic containers.
In view of the above, tile cosmetic package container of the present invention comprises the cap unit and the base unit of the semi-sphericai hollow shape respectively assembled together as well as the central ring unit provided for securement thereof such that the filling of the cosmetic material therein is safe and convenient. The inner and outer layers of the semi-spherical hollow shapes thereof are of different materials to fomi a double-layered structure such that the outer appearance of the assembled container is appealing to the eye with decorations. The overall structural configuration and filling operation required by the cosmetic package container of the present invention are simplified such that the production cost is lowered, the assembly is facilitated, the packaging is distinct and the outer appearance of the container product can be modified to be of various different designs with practical applications.

Claims (6)

  1. WHAT IS CLAIMED IS: 1. A cosmetic package container, comprising a cap unit and a base unit assembled onto said cap unit and provided for filling of a cosmetic material therein, characterized in that: said cap unit and said base unit are respectively of a semi-spherical hollow sl1ape arranged opposite to each other; wherein a circular opening of said base unit ftirther comprises a central ring unit having a circular frame with rows and columns protruding inward therefrom and provided for receiving said cosmetic material tilled to solidiQ, and to hold thereon; wherein a securement frame edge of said central ring unit protruding outward from an outer circumference thereof and said outer circumference fhrther comprises a threaded surface provided for fasteiiing onto said cap unit hi order to fomi a three-piece assembly of said cosmetic package container.
  2. 2. The cosmetic package container according to claim 1, wherein a central bottom portion of said base unit comprises a filling perforation provided for filling.
  3. 3. The cosmetic package container according to claim 2, wherein said filling perforation of said base unit is sealed by an insertion piece or a sticker attached thereon.
  4. 4. The cosmetic package container according to claim 1, wherein a protruding ring formed on an upper and inner circumferential surface of said semi-spherical hollow base unit fUrther comprises a plurality of indented slots provided for securenient thereof

The cosmetic package container according to claim 4, wherein an indented ring slot formed on a lower circumferential surface of said central ring unit frirther comprises a plurality of protrusions provided for said plurality of indented slots of said base unit to be inserted therein conespondingly.

The cosmetic package container according to claim 1, wherein a fastening position of said central ring unit further comprises a locking protrusion edge protruding outward therefrom to prevent said cap unit fastened thereon from slipping off Amendments to claims have been filed as follows 16REPLACEMENT COPYWHAT IS CLAIMED IS: 1.
