Abstract

250,670. Woods, F. Jan. 15, 1925. Directive signalling; aerials.-A direction finding aerial of the rotating coil or Bellini-Tosi type is surrounded by a plurality of rings 2 forming a closed circuit in one plane only which are directly earthed. The rings 2 may be mounted on insulators 3 carried by supports 4, or may be mounted on a container for the aerial. One or more auxiliary correcting aerials may also be provided and the coupling coil or coils associated therewith rotated in step with, but in the opposite direction to, the means whereby the intensity of the signal is varied. A correction circuit of the type described in Specification 239,263 may also be provided.
