Abstract
A sturdy, reusable double-layered plastic bottle to be used for filling with two separated liquids. The larger inner-layer can be filled with water, and the outer-layer can be filled with cordial/squash. There will be a manual pump at the base of the bottle to pump cordial from the outer layer into the inner-layer, mixing the liquids to a desired proportion. The bottle will have two openings; a large flat lid (to allow it to stand on its head) which corresponds to the inner cavity, and a large removable base to fill the outer. Valves will be used within the mixture system to enable the liquid to flow.
Description
Double-layered bottle for water/cordial storage and mixing.
This bottle will allow people who prefer juice over water to have their cordial juice drinks on the go. People can fill up their double-layered bottle at home with their chosen cordial, and then refill the water compartment at work/school at any drinking tap.
It is a convenience product, allowing people to enjoy flavoured water, at a low price outside of their home. Instead of having to spend money on bottled flavoured drinks.
In addition this product could also be used for other mixtures of drinks e.g. Vodka and coke.
Features A sturdy, reusable double-layered plastic bottle to be used for filling with two separated liquids. The larger inner-layer can be filled with water, and the outer-layer can be filled with cordial/squash. There will be a manual pump at the base of the bottle to pump cordial from the outer layer into the inner-layer) mixing the liquids to a desired proportion.
The opening [neck] to the bottle will have the typical opening as a place to put the water into the bottle as usual.
The bottom of the bottle will be able to screw off in order to have a large area to refill the outer section with cordial.
The pump will be fixed to the inner section of the bottle and pressed through a rubber button in the base, which means the pump action will not be affected by the removable base.
To prevent a vacuum in the outer-layer, there are also valves near the neck of the bottle. This is to allow air to flow into the space made in the outer-cavity after juice has been moved to the inner via the pump.
The bottle will have a large flat screw-on lid, which will allow the bottle to be stood on its head whilst refilling with cordial. A sports-cap range could also be manufactured.
The inner bottle and outer bottle will be connected by punctuated supports to keep the bottle sturdy.
I have included drawings of the double-layered plastic bottle so you can see in more detail exactly what I mean: Figure 1 -This is what the bottle will look like when the outer section is filled with cordial.
Figure 2 -This is a cross-section of the bottle to show you the key features.
a) Compartment for filling up with dr nking water.
b) Compartment for filling up with cordial.
c) Screw on/off base to enable to cordial compartment to be refilled.
d) Wide screw on/off lid to the neck of the bottle to enable the bottle to be stood on its head whilst refilled with cordial.
e) An accordion style pump with valves, which when pressed will allow the cordial to be pumped manually into the water compartment [a] I] Valves to allow air to refill the vacated space in the outer layer once pumped.
Figure 3 -This is the screw on/off base to the bottle.
gJ Rubber section which allows the pump/valve device [e) to be pressed.
