Abstract

A diffraction grating, and a security document including a diffraction grating, having a diffractive structure including a plurality of grating elements each having a blazed profile positioned on a surface, wherein the spacing between each grating element is varied within a predefined range, such that, at a predefined viewing angle, a maximum diffracted intensity composed of a range of wavelengths is present.
