Abstract

An exercise device comprising a trampoline 206 with a fabric stretched over a frame with legs, a pair of slotted surfaces 202 which can be positioned to extend vertically in use, a first strap 205 which can be attached to the slotted surfaces 202 and has a plurality of handles 204 fixed to it and a second strap 207 which can be attached to the legs to hold the device in place. When deployed the first strap 205 may run parallel to the floor and the slotted surfaces 202 may be attached to a wall. The use of a bar extending between the slotted surfaces is also disclosed. The device may also have an audio unit and a sensor to measure heart rate, temperature and calories burned. Also disclosed is a truck for stacking rebounders with a circular holder, a plurality of hooks, a plurality of arms to lift and support the circular holder and a control arm.

Description

TITLE OF THE INVENTION
A method and device for a group fitness programme
FILED OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a mini-trampoline or rebounder holding structure and particularly to an exercise bar structure for holding during an exercise on a rebounder apparatus and also a way of stacking and storing the rebounder and bar structure when not in use.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Rebounder or mini-trampoline is an exercise equipment to help training of body balance, reaction ability, dynamic vision and muscle flexibility. It also provides appropriate vibration during jumping and bouncing that is helpful to tone muscle and exercise on. Such exercise devices were invented hundreds of years ago and later were used in army and air forces across the countries for training purposes. These apparatuses are now available in a variety of shapes, sizes and weights, which are appropriate for a number of fitness trainings. The rebounder exercises are especially helpful in curbing obesity and other health related illnesses.
One of the problems with these rebounders is that they do not possess a exercise bar that a person can use to develop upper body strength, core and back strength during the exercise. Due to this, a user, who needs to develop upper body, core and back strength during the exercise, is unable to do soon a rebounder. Some of the rebounders with support are equipped with a support handle attached to the rebounder. These support handles are normally not sturdy enough to use as an exercise bar but used mainly for stability for the user during the exercise. They are not meant to be leaned on or used in a pushing or pulling manner also with these support structures, the rebounders are hard to store in stacked fashion. They would have to be taken apart and so allow the trampoline to be stacked this is not possible every time you want a change of use for the exercise room or building and would limit their use. Fig. 1 illustrates a prior art to this invention. A stability bar 102 is attached to the rebounder 101 using the fixing at the base of the rebounder 104. These fixing patches are not strong enough to hold the weight of a user who uses it to do exercise. Or the rebounder will not be stable if the stabilizing bar was used as an exercising bar to build upper body strength and other muscle groups the stability bar is made of light weight materials which cannot exert much pressure. Thus these bars are not meant for any exercise purposes but for stability if a person is afraid of falling off trampoline when exercising and would be gently leaned on in time of need.
Due to these deficiencies, there is a need for a support mechanism for rebounders which can help the user to develop upper body strength during exercise on the rebounder.
Also if there is use of a exercising bar with the rebounder this causes the rebounder to move on the floor. That is why we need holders for the rebounder to stop the rebounders moving.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
Fig. 2 illustrates a preferred embodiment of the invention which includes a wall 201 or support which is one of the walls of a fitness room or gymnasium. These supports can be another bar that is placed from floor to ceiling or from floor or ceiling only which can be put up and taken down when needed.
They will be used as a tension or support for the exercise bar for the trampolines. The walls or supports will have slots in them so that the exercise strap can be changed to different heights easily to allow different age groups to be catered for. The bar or strap can be easily taken down or placed to a higher level so that it will not be in the way. The floor 203 of the gymnasium has a mini-trampoline or rebounder 206 which is like any traditional rebounder which is used for exercise. A bar or strap 205 runs through the wall 201 to the other side wall or support 202. The exercise bar or strap has handles 204 which are held by a user standing on the rebounder 206. The strap 207 on the ground which holds the legs of the trampoline or rebounder will be strapped or tensioned from wall similar to the exercise bar with slots in the walls or the supports. The tensioned strap 207 has stoppers 208 which are used to hold the legs of the rebounder. In this position, the rebounder will remain stable as the person jumps on it. The wall 201 has a slotted surface 208 which is vertically fixed on the wall 201 and the support 202 to allow the exercise bar/strap be placed at different heights, taken down or placed at a level that is out of the way. In one of the embodiments, uprights are placed in slots in ceiling or floor or both. The uprights can also extend from the ceiling to the floor and support the bar which the user uses to hold while exercising.
In one of the embodiments, the handles 204 have an audio feed so that the person can wear earphones and can take instructions from a group leader or listen to group audio or music two of the handles are engaged by a user's hands during exercise session when the user uses the rebounder for exercise purpose. The handles also have sensors to measure the person's body temperature, heart rate, and calories lost among other things.
The room that the exercise will take place can or will be heated to 37-43 degrees Celsius and with a humidity of around 40% which will intensify the exercise and help people sweat, detox and relax among other things. The rebounder's legs are held in a fixed position during the exercise session by a holder 208 which is attached to a strap 207 at regular intervals of length. These holders help the rebounders to remain stable and prohibit its unnecessary movement.
In another embodiment, the strap or bar, and support can be stationary and be taken down when required.
Fig. 3 illustrates a stacker which will be used to move and position the rebounders and for storing the rebounders when not in use. The stacker is like a pallet stacker and is used to lift the rebounders after use. The hooks 304 pointing inwards to catch the rebounders as the stack are being lifted. They will also have a way that they will a release mechanism that can be controlled by the operator.
Fig. 4 shows the embodiment of the exercise strap 401 which is made from a material which is elastic and strong to hold the weight of multiple persons.
Although the foregoing description contains many specific structures and methods, these should not be construed as limiting the scope of the present invention, but merely as providing illustrations of some of the exemplary embodiments. Similarly, other embodiments of the invention may be devised which do not depart from the spirit or scope of the present invention. Moreover, features from different embodiments of the invention may be employed in combination. The scope of the invention is, therefore, indicated and limited only by the appended claims and their legal equivalents, rather than by the foregoing description. All additions, deletions, and modifications to the invention, as disclosed herein, which fall within the meaning and scope of the claims are to be embraced thereby.
