Abstract

The invention relates to a device that that allows a user to either save or discharge used or grey water down either a first or second water course by operating a simple mechanism F that moves an inner moveable or rotatable sleeve B in the body of the device. Used water from a bath, basin or sink enters the device through a top inlet E to allow the used or grey water to pass out from the body of the device by a first outlet C where the used water is sent to a domestic drain, or a second outlet D where the water is sent to a water storage container inside or outside the building.

Description

Description
Water Saver The present invention relates to a water reusing devise or apparatus for providing a seamless fluid supply from each domestic used water sources, additionally, other aspects of there invention provide a cylindrical switching valve in a preformed plastic type body or manifold along with an initiating switching leaver.
There is an increasing need to reuse and reduce the need for domestic water from mains water supply or sources.
One way to reduce the amount of water supplied to a housing type unit is to use wasted water used in the building, thisinvention is to provide such a device that Offers the user the opportunity to reuse water supplied at source from domestic water sink or bath type appliance or devises thus reducing the water discharged into the mains sewers by sending the used water into a storage type devise inside oroutside the dwelling or building Used water or Grey water is most often generated by domestic type bath; : ... basin, sink or other like units also in the preparation of food stuffs at a sink, * but it could be possible for other domestic type units such a dish washer or washingmachine to be connected to the invention thus offering the opportunity to reuse the grey water produced by such appliances by sending the waste water to a storage devise and then reusing it * * Each appliance would need to have its own water saving apparatus connected to the waste water or grey water discharge of the unit and be piped into é suitable storage unit or holder.
* No risk wbuld be made to any such appliances as the devise or invention * would offer normal discharge or waste water at all times only the operator having the choice to send the waste water to the storage devise or into the * main sewerage system when he or she chose to activate the unit or leave the unit dormant in its passive position.
Thus the invention offers choice of how much to save and when to save.
* The devise achieves water saving by having a rotatable inner sleevepr cylinder that is operated out side the unit by the domestic water user andthus * via the openings in the manifold or bodyof the unit via the movable revolving inner sleeve provide for a passive discharge of waste water at all times and an alternative bypass discharge to send used water via normal domestic pipe work into astorage type devise when the inners sleeve is activated and the pre made hole coincide with the appropriate discharge hole in the body of the unit.
Using such an apparatus then insures that grey water or used water is always discharged correctly and no interference to any domestic water supply and or discharge type apparatus is compromised Preferably the said apparatus would bea sealed plastic type vessel or mechanism allowing for the free flow of fluid into the body of the water saving vessel when being exhausted from the domestic unit or appliance to the saving devise and as such the vessel would not store grey water or used water at any time but simply allow for the free un-inhibited flow, of grey water into the main sewerage system àr storage type devise when required by the user. ..
Moreover the invention would have no limited time devise to permit the flow or interrupt the flow of any used or grey type water from any domestic type unit, the time or flow of used water would be controlled by the installer or owner of the installed devise when using mains water. . No other moving part would interrupt the change of flow of the used or grey * water from the unit as the unit has only one revolving cylindrical type sleeve * that in its self is operated by the up or downward movement of the operating mechanism that in its self is operated by the water user out side of the d!vise * The revolving sleeve can be manufactured to such tolerances that water is unable to migrate between the outer body of the unit and the revolving sleeve; :.". also the operating mechanism can be sealed in such a way as to prevent * water seepage via the external moving part of the invention Preferably the invention or water saving devise has a main manifold having two outlets preferably.placed.at the bottomof the water saving devise with one inlet at the top of the devise, the devise has a cylindrical otter body encapsulating an inner revolving cylindrical sleeve operated by the user of the water with a sealed face place that could be removed for inspection and or * cleaning of the inlets and outlets, other inlets and outlets could be incorporated but the unit is designed to be a devise connected to a single * domestic waste water type outlet from a water using appliance such as a sink * or bath type appliance into the water saving devise via a single inlet, all inlets and outlets pipes of the devise are.compatible for fitting totypes of standard domestic pipe fittings. . Preferably the invention is an appliance that in incorporated into a building * * Preferably the said cylindrical moveable valve arrangemert is subject to rotary motion by un upward S downward mOvement of the moving apparatus * * * outside the unit and the holes being arranged in such a way as to move the cylindrical sleeve with its fixed hole over each of the outlet holes in the body of * the manifold of the unit thus changing the directing of the flow of the waste or used water, a * * * * * * * a. * a *.
