Abstract

A lockable drink safe, that can hold a pint glass, beer bottle of personal items such as car keys of the user. The locking mechanism features an RFID (radio frequency identification) controlled circuit with the transmitter chip built into a wristband. The wristbands are reusable. A colour changing light may be provided inside the safe to allow the user to see their drink etc. The safe's body is made from recycled polyethylene terephthalate plastic (PET plastic) and has a cylindrical design and a conical top which means that a glass cannot be placed on top. The drink safes top and bottom interlink to create a stack, or mounted side by side to create a row. The drink safe may have a drip tray. The door is transparent, allowing people to view the contents of the safe for security reasons. The safes may be powered using a male/female multi-plug from a single power source.

Drink Safe patent application:
1.) Description:
The drink safe is a lockable modular locker which can be installed in a bar, nightclub or public venue, allowing drinkers to safely store their drink instead of leaving it unattended when leaving it to go to the bathroom or for whatever reason. The main unique feature is that the drink safe is operated by a hired wristband with an embedded RFID (radio frequency identification) chip, this means that when the user approaches the drink safe with their hired wristband, the allocated locker will open allowing the user to safely place their drink, closing the door will activate the locking mechanism keeping the drinkl contents safe until the user returns and re-scans their wristband near the door unlocking it once again.
Key features The drink safe will safely store a single drink in, such as a pint glass, wine glass or beer bottle. Be lockable with the use of a RFID wristband, hired from the venue. Cylindrical shape, ergonomic, and a user-friendly design.
Modular structure, the units also known as "pods" can be mounted side by side or stacked vertically, fixed mechanically to a vertical flat surface.They will be produced from recycled Polyethylene terephthalate plastic. LED Internal lighting provides lighting for the user with low power usage. Parallel electronic circuit means each pod can be connected via male/female multi-plug from default unit to provide power to each additional pod using only one main power feed. Each pods RFID (radio frequency identification) circuit will be connected to an allocated wristband and each pair shall be numbered in order to match.
The floor of the drink safe has a removable drip tray with a built in level indicator, which floats when the tray gets full. The wristbands would be made from rubber over-moulded metal for strength and to make them waterproof for cleaning, meaning they can be reused, Wristbands have a RFID (radio frequency identification) transmitter embedded in them to open the door of the drink safe when waved in front, each wristband is unique and can be periodically changed, in the case that a user does not return a wristband a new one can be programmed easily using a computer software package,
