Abstract

An item of jewellery or an accessory incorporating a chip, a contactless smartcard or a CPU so that it can be used as an electronic ticket. The device can be used for travel tickets such as those used in the underground train system. The device can be arranged to be used with top up machines. The device may be designed to interface with a cubic tri-reader and use wireless technology. The item of jewellery can be a watch, necklace, bangle, wrist band, cuff link, belt, buckle, key ring, dog lead, bag, wallet, id bag, brief case, handbag, lunch box or flask.

Technical Field: The present invention related to jewellery and accessories incorporating train and/or tube/underground train ticket and/or other travel ticket and/or other ticket technology.
Background:
Current access through ticket barriers involves either placing tickets through a barrier device or through touch technology e.g. oyster cards, oyster pay as you go cards, contactless smartcard that touch onto an electronic reader Typically this requires individuals to spend time accessing their ticket or oyster card or other card, whilst approaching the ticket barrier.
This can be inconvenient, cause people to slow down or stop in front of ticket barriers and add to congestion at ticket barriers. Sometimes tickets are misplaced in baggage/luggage causing further delays or inconvenience or a need to purchase additional tickets on occasion.
Where additional payment or top up needs to be made by machine or at a ticket office, this typically this requires individuals to spend time accessing their ticket or oyster card, oyster pay as you go (PAYG), or other card, whilst approaching the ticket machine or ticket office.
This can be inconvenient, cause people to slow down or stop in front of ticket machines or ticket offices and add to congestion at ticket machines or ticket offices. Sometimes tickets are misplaced in baggage/luggage causing further delays or inconvenience or a need to purchase additional tickets on occasion.

The present invention seeks to incorporate ticket technology or devices or chips or contactiess smartcards or CPUs, into jewellery and accessories so that individuals do not have to spend time accessing their ticket or oyster card, oyster pay as you go(PAYG). or other card.
In use, the jewellery and accessories will enable access through ticket barriers and enable ticket payment / top up in the incorporated technology.
In a preferred form, access will be gained through ticket barriers by touching the jewellery or accessory on the barrier device.
In a preferred form, the jewellery and accessories can use touch technology to interlace with ticket payment/ top up machines.
In a preferred form, the jewellery and accessories can use technology that will allow payment / top up to be made using the internet or other means.
It involves embedding or inserting or combining the technology and product in tickets into a wide range of jewellery and accessories.
The jewellery and QCCeSSOr1CS includes watches, necklaces, bracelets, bangles, wrist bands, rings, cuff links, belts, buckles, key rings, bag tags, dog leads, belt and bag dips (including extendable versions), wallets, id badges, brief cases, handbags, computer bags, shopping bags, school bags, lunch boxes, other bags, flasks.
The ticket technology includes technology or devices or chips or contactless smartcards or Cpu or electronic ticketing, used on all forms of tickets induding travel tickets, single tickets, period tickets, travel permits, oyster cards, oyster pay as you go(PAYG), non travel tickets for other purposes.

Claims (10)

  1. claim(s): 1. An item of jewellery or accessory incorporating ticket technology or devices or chips or contactiess smartcard or CPU.
  2. 2. An item of jewellery or accessory incorporating ticket technology, used on tickets, including travel tickets, oyster cards, oyster pay as you go(PAYG), non travel tickets for other purposes.
  3. 3. An item of jeweliery or accessory of claim 1 or 2, that will enable access through ticket barriers by touching the jeweliery or accessory on the barrier device.
  4. 4. An item of jewellery or accessory of daim 1 or 2 or 3, that can use touch technology to interface with ticket payment / top up machines.
  5. 5. An item of jewellery or accessory of daim 1 or 2 or 3 or 4, that can use technology that will allow payment / top up to be made using the internet or other means.
  6. 6. An item of jewellery or accessory, of any of the preceding claims, that incorporates a contactless smartcard. A contactless smart card is any card with embedded integrated circuits that can process and store data, and communicate with a terminal via radio waves.
  7. 7. An item of jewellery or accessory, of any of the preceding claims, that incorporates a contactiess smartcard, or other device, that touch onto an electronic reader when entering and leaving the transport system or ticket barrier in order to validate It or deduct funds.
  8. 8. An item of jewellery or accessory, of any of the preceding daims, that incorporates a contactless smartcard that may be "recharged" in person from numerous sales points, by recurring payment authority, by online purchase, by credit card terminals, or by cash.
  9. 9. An item of jewellery or accessory of any of the preceding daims, where the item of jewellery or accessory interface with a Cubic Tn-Reader or any other reader on automated barriers.
  10. 10. An item ofjeweliery or accessory 01 any of the preceding claims where the Item of jeweilery or accessory incorporates ticket technology or devices or electronic ticketing used on all fonns of tickets, including travel tickets, single tickets, period tickets, travel permits, oyster cards, non travel tickets for other purposes, where the item of jewellery or accessory includes watches, necklaces, bracelets, bangles, wrist bands, rings, cuff links, belts, buckles, key rings, bag tags, dog leads, belt and bag dips (including extendable versions), wallets, id badges, brief cases, handbags, computer bags, shopping bags, school bags, lunch boxes, other bags, flasks.
