Abstract

A tubular lock having a casing 10 and a keyhole 11, mounted in the casing are at least one positioning assembly 40 having at least one driving pin 41, key pin 42 and a resilient element; at least one side positioning assembly 60 with at least an outer pin 62, an inner pin 61 and a resilient element abutting against the outer pin; and a fastening assembly mounted on the casing and abutting the resilient element of each of the at least one side positioning assembly 60. The pins of the side positioning assembly 60 are transverse with respect to the pins of the positioning assembly 40. Due to the perpendicular nature of the assemblies, the difficulty of picking the lock is increased. The arrangement also provides an increased number of possible permutation combinations for the lock. A key for a tubular lock is also shown.
