Abstract
A collapsible telescopic ladder is composed of several rungs, several ladder frame tubes 4, 7, 9 and bottom covers 5. The bottom covers are mounted at the lower end of the ladder frame tubes. There is a latch on every rung and is composed of a spring-loaded locking pin 2. There is a locking pin hole in every ladder frame tube which matches with the locking pin. The projecting end of the locking pin is spherical. A taper on every bottom cover engages the sphere of the locking pin to push it out of supporting engagement with the adjacent ladder frame tube. A button 1 may be provided on the locking pin.
Description
A KIND OF ROUND TUBE EXTENSION LADDER
This invention refers to a kind ol round tube extension ladder, especially a kind of round tube extension ladder which is convenient to fold and extend.
The existing round tube extension ladders are folded from up to down or down to up, and are extended from up to down or down to up, so they are disadvantages in folding and extending.
This invention intends to provide a kind of round tube extension ladder which is convenient to fold and extend.
In order to achieve the above aim, this invention adopts the following technical solutions.
This kind of round tube extension ladder is composed of several rungs, several ladder frame tubes and bottom covers. Those bottom covers are mounted at the lower end of ladder frame tubes. There is a switch on every rung which is featured in: the above-mentioned switch is composed of a locking pin and a spring; one end of the locking pin holds down the spring; the spring is mounted in every rung; there is a locking pin hole in every ladder frame tube which matches with the locking pin; the locking pin at end of the locking pin hole is spherical; slope of every bottom cover matches with the sphere.
There is a button on the above-mentioned locking pin.
Comparing with the existing technology, this invention is advantageous in: Extending procedure of this kind of round tube extension ladder: locking pins lock every rung under the action of every compression spring. Its folding procedure: after pressing the button manually, the locking pin presses spring and draws back; the top ladder frame tube declines under the action of gravity; when bottom cover of the top ladder frame tube contacts locking pin of the third rung, slope of the bottom cover presses the sphere in the front of the locking pin, and the bottom cover presses the spring to compress under the action of impulse and gravity; when the locking pin draws back till locking pin hole of the second ladder frame tube contacts sphere of the locking pin, the locking pin is unable to button up the second ladder frame tube, so that the second ladder frame tube declines under the action of gravity; when bottom cover of the second ladder frame tube keeps declining and contacts locking pin of the fourth rung, slope of the bottom cover presses the sphere in the front of the locking pin; the bottom cover presses the spring to compress under the action of impulse and gravity; when the locking pin draws back till locking pin hole of the third ladder frame tube contacts sphere of the locking pin, the locking pin is unable to button up the third ladder frame tube, so that the third ladder frame tube declines under the action of gravity; accordingly, under the action of impulse and gravity, every ladder frame tube will be folded through the acting force of slope and sphere. This kind of round tube extension ladder referred to in the invention controls the whole ladder through a pair of manual locking pins; locking pins of other rungs are controlled by an automatic device.
Fig. 1 is structure diagram of this kind of round tube extension ladder referred to in the invention.
The invention will be further described with reference to the preferred embodiments.
As shown in Fig. 1, this kind of round tube extension ladder referred to in the invention is composed of several rungs, several ladder frame tubes and bottom covers.
Those bottom covers are mounted at the lower end of ladder frame tubes. Every switch is composed of a locking pin and a spring; one end of every locking pin holds down the spring; the spring is mounted in every rung; there is a locking pin hole in every ladder frame tube which matches with the locking pin; the locking pin at end of the locking pin hole is spherical; slope of every bottom cover matches with the sphere. There is a button on the locking pin. Extending procedure of this kind of round tube extension ladder: locking pins lock every rung under the action of every compression spring.
Folding procedure: after pressing button (1) manually, locking pin (2) presses spring (3) and draws back; the top ladder frame tube (4) declines under the action of gravity; when bottom cover (5) of the top ladder frame tube contacts locking pin of the third rung (6), slope of the bottom cover presses the sphere in the front of the locking pin, and the bottom cover presses the spring to compress under the action of impulse and gravity; when the locking pin draws back till locking pin hole of the second ladder frame tube (7) contacts sphere of the locking pin, the locking pin is unable to button up the second ladder frame tube, so that the second ladder frame tube declines under the action of gravity; when bottom cover of the second ladder frame tube keeps declining and contacts locking pin of the fourth rung (8), slope of the bottom cover presses the sphere in the front of the locking pin; the bottom cover presses the spring to compress under the action of impulse and gravity; when the locking pin draws back till locking pin hole of the third ladder frame tube (9) contacts sphere of the locking pin, the locking pin is unable to button up the third ladder frame tube, so that the third ladder frame tube declines under the action of gravity; accordingly, under the action of impulse and gravity, every ladder frame tube will be folded through the acting force of slope and sphere. This kind of round tube extension ladder referred to in the invention controls the whole ladder through a pair of manual locking pins; locking pins of other rungs are controlled by an automatic device.
