Abstract

A voltage power optimiser (100) includes a primary coil, an input conductor (110) at a first terminal of the primary coil, and an output conductor (112) at a second terminal of the primary coil, a plurality of secondary coils, one or more connector conductors interconnecting the secondary coils, and a plurality of configurable connections each connected in line with a said connector conductor. The configurable connections being operable selectively to connect the secondary coils so as to define a variable voltage output secondary side of a power converter arrangement including the primary coil. The input conductor and output conductor are metal busbars (110, 112) which extend in parallel with one another. The voltage power optimiser includes at least one stabiliser plate (114, 116, 122) for the busbars (110, 112), which comprises a rigid plate having apertures through which each said busbar (110, 112) extends to prevent translational distortion in use of the voltage power optimiser (100).
