Abstract
A Unique Internet User Identification Number System (UIUINS) is provided whereby an internet service provider (ISP), ISP1, provides an internet user, C1, C2, C3, C4, with a Unique Internet User Identification Number from an Unique Internet User Identification Number Database (UIUIND). Using the Unique Internet User Identification Number the user gains access to other ISPâs anywhere in the world, ISP2, via wired or wireless means. A voluntary policy facilitates use, using the Unique Internet User Identification Number, of any open available wireless network.
Description
Unique Internet User Identification Number System (UIUINS)
DESCRIPTION
Nearly everyone uses Internet now and nearly everyone has it at home or at work. Usually it is called Broadband, but for the purpose of this document it is divided into two notions: Internet Access Authorization and Internet Connection Channel.
Internet Access Authorization is a combination of login details, such as Login and Password.
Internet Connection Channel is a combination of physical devices (routers, wires, etc.) and preferences for such devices to connect to particular Internet Service Provider (ISP).
Internet Access Authorization and Internet Connection Channel to the Internet is supplied by Internet Service Providers in one package to subscribers. Subscribers have contracts, accounts and tariff plans according to which they pay for. To have an access to the internet from a particular ISP, subscribers are given their: a) login details for the access and b) routers and connection preferences for physical connection. Those login details and connection preferences are compatible only for a particular Internet Service Provider. This limits subscribers from using their accounts with other Internet Service Providers.
To solve this and contribute to Internet expansion, wether it is wired or wireless the inventor propose an algorithm which allows to adhere interests of Internet Service r' Providers and Subscribers. r
Unique Internet User Identification Number system 1. Separate Internet Access Authorization and Internet Connection Channel.
C') 2. Do not change Internet Connection Channel(s) with current lSPs.
o 3. Organize service and create Unified Internet User Identification Number Database (UIUIND) of Unique Internet User Identification Numbers.
4. Assign Unique Internet User Identification Numbers to all existing subscribers and every new Internet subscriber from Unified Internet User Identification Number Database through Internet Service Providers.
5. ISPs need to organize secure identification services for subscribers through Unified Internet User Identification Number Database (UIUIND) to track Internet usage, subscribers exchange, accounts validity, etc...
New Open Wireless Policy 6. Provide a voluntary policy to share all existing wireless connections all over the world.
Using Unique Internet User Identification Number any subscriber can use any open available wireless network in certain proportion not infringing others rights and ownerships.
Two tables are represented to demonstrate the invention.
In Table 1, Subscribers Cl and C2 are connected to ISPI and are authorized by ISP1 to access the Internet. The same for C3 and C4 for ISP2.
In Table 2, Subscribers, in addition to be authorized on their ISPs, where they have accounts, can be authorized on another ISP to access the Internet through Unified Internet User Identification Number Database (UIUIND) if the Unique Internet User Identification Number does not belong to particular ISP. r C)
