Abstract

It is shown a "Hot Tap" clamp (1) adapted for installation on a pipeline which is under production and consequently pressure, in order to provide a pipe branching by means of pre-boring through the pipeline. The clamp (1) is made up of an upper part (2) with a branching opening (4) and a continuous lower part (3), where the upper part (2) and the lower part (3) separately are able to enclose the pipeline. Further, the upper part (2) of the clamp is split along a division surface (DF) in relation to the radial direction of the pipeline, and comprises fastening members (6) capable of keeping the upper part (2) of the clamp together in axial direction. The branching opening (4) in the upper part encloses the pipe branching after installation and the separation surface (DF) divides the branching opening (4) in two equal halves.
