Abstract

An electrical plug for insertion into a power supply socket incorporates a tamper-evident feature. The plug comprises a base member, a cover member and live and neutral pins. The tamper-evident device is broken if the cover is removed from the base. This can provide evidence of tampering if a plug is rewired or too large a fuse put in while its appliance is still in its warrantee period, while allowing the plug or fuse to be changed after this period.
