Abstract

An arrangement for security context selection in a mobile device operating in a radio communication network based on a Key Set Identifier (KSI) received from the radio communication network. In the arrangement a security context to be used is associated to an identifier and two or more security contexts are associated with the same KSI value 20. Temporary security contexts are generated for each security context associated with the KSI-value provided by the network 21. The user equipment chooses the correct security context 23 by performing an integrity check 22 for received data using each of the security contexts and chooses the successful security context for communication. The mobile device is connected to at least two radio communication networks, wherein the first network is a Long Term Evolution (LTE) network and the second network is a Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS) network. The determining of the security context occurs during intersystem change when returning to an LTE network.
