Abstract
An integral grip system for electronic circuit cards 1, such as mobile phone SIM cards, comprises moulded or cut grooves, slots or serrations 2 that improve the ease of removal and insertion of the cards in to other devices. The slots or grooves are suitable to allow a finger nail to slide the card in and out of position. A series of fine serrations (figure 3) may facilitate grip. The slot may be a complete fingernail hole slot.

Description
This invention relates to the removal and insertion of electronic circuit cards.
Many people find it very difficult to extract and insert an electronic circuit card into an electronic device.
When people are inserting and removing electronic circuit cards such as a SlM into a mobile phone or other electronic devices they are often faced with difficulties. These difficulties can result in damage to the card and possibly damage to the electrical circuits, especially when trying to remove the card.
To overcome this, the present invention proposes a new design of the electronic circuit card. This proposed new design is the introduction of a grip system that will facilitate easier inserting and removal of the electronic circuit card. One of the key features of this invention is that it does not change the overall dimensions of the electronic card and therefore this invention can readily be introduced into the manufacturing process of any electronic circuit card without modification to the housing of the electronic device that is receiving the electronic circuit card.
The grip system can be contained within the plastic surround or it may be part of the electronic chip itself or a combination of both.
An example of the invention will now be described by referring to the accompaying drawings which for simplicity and ease of recognition a mobile phone SIM card is referred to: Figure 1 shows the top view of a typical mobile phone SlM card. Item 1 is the actual SIM card. Item 2 shows a series of horizontal grooves that could be cut or moulded into the plastic card to facilitate sliding the card with a finger nail into position and also to facilitate the removal of the card.
Figure 2 shows the underside view of a SIM card (item 1) including the outline of the actual micro circuit (item 2) this SIM has a complete hole slot that could be cut or moulded into the SIM card to allow the removal from both sides of the SIM card.
Figure 3 shows the top view of a typical mobile phone SIM card (item 1) with a series of fine serrations (item 2) that could be cut or moulded into the SIM card that would facilitate grip and allow an easier sliding action of the SIM card.
Claims (5)
- Claims 1, An integral grip system for all electronic circuit cards such as mobile phone S1M cards, that allows the ease of removal and insertion into and out of all electronic devices.
- 2, A grip system according to claim 1 in which the system has at least one finger nail slot cut or moulded into the electronic circuit card.
- 3, A grip system according to claim 1 in which the system has a complete finger nail hole slot cut or moulded into the electronic circuit card.
- 4, A grip system according to claim 1 in which the system has fine serrations cut or moulded into the electronic circuit card.
- 5, A grip system according to claim 1 in which the system has any combination of the above, in any geometric form and in any material,
