Abstract

The invention discloses a set of members which can either be used as clothes-pegs or as a construction toy. Each member includes two halves joined together via a spring hinge forming a clamp at one end and a handle at the other end of each member allowing each member to be used as a conventional clothes-peg. The two halves of each member are formed with multiple curves sections adapted to allow a further member to be clamped thereto in various combinations allowing the user to use the set members as a toy construction set.

Background
Using conventional pegs to build a structure fail (the structure is unstable) -they have not been designed to fasten together in different orientations.
Example
The design allows pegs to interconnect securely, in multiple directions and various combinations.
The peg will function as a clothes peg, hanging washing on a line but the design also allows a second use:-When not on the washing line, the pegs can fasten together to build structures of various designs, as an act of play.
Detailed Description
The body of the peg is made from multiple shaped sections -the shape (inside of the grips) mates with the shape (outside of the grips and along sections of the body) on other Pego's'.
The spring acts to close the grip acting as clamp -it also acts to force the handle open. The handle also consists of spherical surfaces which mate with other Pego' bodies -either the clamps or the handles.
The spring allows Pego' to connect to another Pego' clamp to clamp with a closing action or handle to handle with an opening action. Handle to clamp & clamp to handle connections are also possible.
The sections along the body are also shaped to mate with the inside of the clamping face.

  1. Claims 1. A clothes peg with dual use; as a clothes peg and/or as a construction toy.
  2. 2. The pegs can connect together in using a closing clamping action.
  3. 3. The pegs can connect together in using an opening clamping action.
  4. 4. One peg can clamp another at different sections along its length.
  5. 5. One peg can clamp another in different orientations.
  6. 6. The number of pegs which can interconnect is unlimited.
