Abstract

A wheel (10a) for a vehicle (5a) such as a bicycle (15a) comprises at least one illuminatable or illumination means (45a). The illuminatable or illumination means (45a) may be provided on one side or both sides of the wheel (10a), for example on one or more spokes (50a) thereof. This may help improve the safety, e.g. road safety, of a vehicle (5a) and/or rider by improving visibility when viewed from at least one side and preferably both sides.
