Abstract

A circular ice scrapper provides multi-directional scraping when in use, for example when scraping ice of cars or the like. The circular blade/cutting edge X is profiled so as to have inner and outer edges (fig 5) which are both set at an angle of 45 degrees, thus allowing the scraper to be used in any direction and maximising its scraping action. The intention is that the scraper can be used on a surface without having to be lifted there from. The diameter of the circular blade is chosen to provide a balance between the force to cut into the ice (a smaller diameter blade) and yet have a decent removal rate of the ice (a larger diameter blade). Handle Y, provided in a central position, maximises the force and directional control in whatever direction the user wishes to move. The handle also includes a hole to that a user can insert a finger when using the device (see fig 1).

DESCRIPTION
AN ICE SCRAPER FOR CAR WINDOWS
Very simply, this design of scraper came about after the frustration of trying to remove enough difficult ice off a windscreen in a reasonable time period to make a quick getaway! This innovative design applies more pressure to the ice scraping edge and a greater length of working edge than other ice scrapers on the market.
Part of its originality is the increased amount of pressure that can be applied. Present designs apply pressure in one direction at an angle that is decided by the user. This design allows the user to almost lean onto the scraper, partially utilising body weight, along with the traditional push but with the additional pulling of the scraper (to utilise its multi-directional functionality) Its ease of use comes about due to the multi-directional scraping ability of the design wijiwut leaving the surface of the car window. (i.e. It's round!) Drawings: Show the finer details of the all important edge to the blade (Drawings figures 4 and 5) that scrapes the ice in both directions, along with the ergonomically designed handle to cope with the downward force and the multi-directional property of the product.(Drawing sheet.1. fig.1.) The ice scraper edge is referenced with an X' The ice scraper handle is referenced with a Pushing in any direction has the added benefit of a second blade following the first to catch any missed ice (totally due to the circular nature of the scraping edge) Detail on figure.5. Notice on the double sided blade base, there is a slight indent, this is to allow the two scraper edges to get a better bite' into the ice.
The handle is purposely holed to allow a gloved finger(middle finger or thumb seem to be the best) to be inserted to allow extra purchase on the product while scraping.
