Abstract

The ashtray comprises a cover A, a stifler plate B having a plurality of holes, an outing plate C and an ash container D to store ash or cigarette butts or cigar butts. Cigarettes, cigars or rollups are inserted in one of the holes and trapped against the outing plate to extinguish the flame. The cover may act as a disguise or as a non-scratch/non-slip guard that fits underneath the bottom of the ashtray. The ashtray can be made out of recycled glass, ceramic, porcelain or heat resistant plastic. It can be fixed permanently to any outdoor hard surface with nails or screws or fixed temporarily unto tiled walls, glass or any smooth surface with a suction cup.

Description

STIFLER ASHTRAY
DISCRIPTION
The stifler ashtray is design to remove butting altogether from smoking while taking the health hazard away with it as well if used as intended can save a smoker some money.
The ashtray has four parts of which two of the main parts are flushed together, one the part, the stifler ( figure 2 B, Pie figure2 A/B) has many holes ranging from 2.2cm -1.4cm for accommodating cigars and holes from 12mm downwards for cigarettes, rollups etc, while the other part, the outing plate (figure 2 C) sits on an edge provided on the ash container (figure 4 A,B), it helps to stop oxygen getting to the cigarette making it stifle and goes out within 3 -5 seconds leaving the end hard with 50% less smell of the cigarette on the cigarette and on the smoker's hand.
Each time a smoker butts his/her cigarette they actually waste most of the cigarette as they may have to save enough space on the cigarette to butt for the cigarette to go out and this involves bending, crushing and pressing until the cigarette loses its flame.
The stifler ashtray makes it easier for a smoker to out his/her cigarette butt as outing a cigarette in the stifler ashtray makes the cigarette remain straight plus the cigarette remain easy to relight (Pie figure 4 A,B), a smoker using a normal ashtray most of the times may find their fingers touching the flame bit of the cigarette when buffing or puffing it out which is a health hazard, the stifler ashtray can stop this happening.
The other parts are, the rubber cover (Figure 2 A) which acts like a non slip/ non scratch guard ( Figure 3 A) and when a smoker finish smoking he/she can just put back the cover on the ashtray to stop the smell polluting the surroundings and to stop cigarette/cigar butts and ash falling out if toppled over and it also acts as an disguise from un expecting guest, cigarette can also be store under the cover as well.
The ash container is used to store used cigar/cigarette butts and ash (figure 2 D), and can be made to with or without an edge as sometimes the outing plate can be made to screw unto the stifler itself (figure 7 C / figure 8 D). This invention is design to suit outdoor purposes as well as specified indoor smoking areas and nursing homes, the invention can be made out of recycled glass as well as ceramic, porcelain or heat resistance plastics.
Background:
They are many ashtrays in the world today, but most are based on a traditional bowl design which comes with many hazards and disadvantages and cuts on it's edges for resting cigarettes/cigars and most of the times they are design without covers.
Statement of Invention:
The Stifler ashtray is a more useful ashtray as it was design specifically for a more safer way of outing a cigarette/cigar by removing the hazards involved in butting a cigarette/cigar (burning of the fingers) as well as trying to make a smoker spend less on cigarettes.
Advantages: Unlike the traditional bowl design ashtrays this ashtray has a few more features involved, the Stifler ashtray has four parts and uses a scientific method to relief it a cigarette/cigar of its light and the specific holes provided on the ashtray helps to guide the cigarette/cigar to an outing plate which stifles the cigarette/cigar making the end of the cigarette/cigar hard and not crumply so the cigarette becomes easier to store and relight.
Introduction to drawings:
The invention will now be described by accompanying drawings: An assemble version of the Stifler ashtray can been seen on Figure 1, while Figure 2 shows the ashtray open and displaying it's four parts which are as follows, A: the cover, B: the stifler, C: the outing plate, D: the ash container, E: shows an edge for resting the outing plate on the ash container while F: shows an screwed edge for the stifler to screw unto that closes the ashtray.
The ashtray is put together (figure 2) by putting the outing plate ( C) on the edge provided ( B) in the ash container ( D), then the stifler ( B) is then screwed unto (D) by screwed edge ( F) provide on the ash container ( D).
The remaining part (A) the cover is then added to close the ash tray or as seen on Figure 1 or can be used as non slip/non scratch guard under the ash tray as can be seen on figure 3.
The remaining figures are as follows: Figure 4, Figure 4 A: shows an half cut version of the stifler ashtray with an edge provided in the ash container for the outing plate to rest on.
Figure 4 B: shows an half cut version of the stifler ashtray with an half cut piece of the outing plate inserted and resting in the ash container.
Figure 5, Figure 5 A: shows an half cut version of the stifler ashtray with both outing plate and stifler pieces assembled as it would be if it was going to be used by a smoker.
Figure 5 B shows a close up demo insert of a cigarette been out in the way its intended by this invention.
Figure 5 C: shows an half cut version of the stifler ashtray with all its four pieces assembled the ash container, the outing plate, the stifler and the cover.
