Abstract

248,672. Rothermel, R. A. Oct. 29, 1925. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Force-feed lubricators. - Oil is supplied by a pump to a chamber d in a distributor a having a number of outlets c, each outlet having associated therewith a collecting chamber f of constant capacity and a double-ended spring- pressed valve e, the chambers f being formed in detachable screwed members g which are of the same diameter but of different heights, so that the capacities of the various chambers f are different. When oil is being supplied to the chamber d, the valves e move to close the outlets c and open communication between the chambers d, f, air contained in the chambers f being thereby compressed. When the pump pressure is relieved, the valves e return to their normal position, closing communication between the chambers d, f, and the compressed air causes the discharge of the oil through the outlets c. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 250,346.
