Abstract

A method of a processing radioactive material comprising the step of oscillating, for example spinning, the radioactive material in a containing environment, wherein the step of oscillating comprises: increasing a speed of oscillation until an increase in a level of radioactivity from the radioactive material is observed; and continuing to oscillate the material in the containing environment at a speed at which the level of radioactivity is maintained.
