Abstract

A motorized refrigerator shelf has a frame 1 which includes an upper cross beam 4U , a wheeled lower cross beam 4L and a drive motor 5. Use of the motor causes the lower wheeled cross beam to travel along the frame and raise the upper cross beam. The motor may be operated by remote control or a concealed button. Movement of the self up and down facilitates access for stock replenishment or removal, and improves access comfort.

Freezer Mobile Shelf The Freezer mobile shelf support frame I moves up and down by remote control or out of sight arrowed t push buttons which drive an electric motor 5 which pulls lower cross beam 4Z thus raising shelf support frame I. This journey is the result of the fixed lower crossbeam 3L allowing the lower wheeled crossbeam 4U to rise.

During this journey the lower crossbeam 4L will activate switch 9 to switch off the lower refrigeration system 11 and the illuminated part of the logo 12.

Two optional features occur, a fully stocked domestic freezer presents a mountainous problem if the item you want has unknown whereabouts. By using eight open fronted wire baskets 13 they could all display their contents figure 7.

The other optional feature is a side extension 16 to the end side of the shelf to show shelf whereabouts through the picture framed laminated glass window 14.

Finally to draw attention to the freezers shelf and its other four improvements on todays conventional freezer is a choice of colour and pattern that covers the shelfs outer casing.

A major problem in supermarkets with large display units is they are always half empty, usually untidy displaying more metal for sale than food for sale.

The poor presentation can be solved with a freezer mobile shelf making food more accessible, more attractive, increased sales, more profit and weekly rotation.

On a Monday morning the freezer shelf will be at its highest holding only reserve stock. The stock can be removed, the shelf frame I figure 1 lowered a third, new stock lowered to the shelf, lowered again by remote control or concealed button and more stock replenished and finally the reserve stock returned to its usual position.

Each morning the apparently full freezer can be raised for perfect presentation. This would be especially advantageous on a Friday and Saturday and Sunday mornings after busy previous days.

During Thursday the wheeled cross bar 4L will have automaticly activated switch 9 resulting in the lower tier 11 figure 5 and the lower led light 17 figure 6 switched off reducing the running costs by 50 % for 3 days +.
