Abstract

A sex toy containing personally meaningful items, comprising a shaft substantially phallic in size and shape with an internal, hollow channel in which the personally meaningful items are held. The personally meaningful items, such as jewellery, locks of hair or ashes of a deceased lover, are contained within the internal channel such that when the sex toy is inserted into the vagina or anus, the items are essentially inside the user. The container may be permanently sealed or have a detachable lid so that the items can be removed or replaced.

Background of the_Ivention

[1] The present invention relates to toys for sexual pleasure, in particular, a toy containing items or substances of personal meaning to the user.

[2] Toys for sexual pleasure are widely known in the art.

For example, dildos are devices shaped substantially as the penis of a male that may be inserted into the vagina or anus for sexual stimulation. In some cases the devices may comprise a vibrating element, for greater stimulation.

[3] Attempts have been made to enhance the stimulation provided by a dildo. 0Nl0l38027l to Spencer discloses a mechanised dildo, which uses motors to provide automatic penetration mimicking that of sexual intercourse.

[4] FR2924299 to Vela discloses a sleeve to heat sex toys such as dildos, in order that the toy feels more like a real penis.

[5] However, it may be that enhancing the physical stimulation of the sex toy is not enough to prcvide maximum sexual pleasure. By creating a toy with personal meaning and significance, which relates to a lover or significant other that may not be present, use of the toy may become a more pleasurable experience through greater emotional stimulation.

This significant other may be living away, perhaps in the military, or may even have passed away. Feeling close to that person may contribute to the sexual pleasure of the person using the toy.

[6] For many people, items belonging to the significant other, or given as a gift by the significant other, hold considerable meaning. Examples this may include jewellery such as wedding rings, clothing, locks of hair or even their ashes after death.

[7] Devices to keep these items close-by are known in the art. US2006266079 to LaVictoire discloses a keepsake locket containing an internal compartment for personally significant items such as locks of hair or photographs.

[8] J22008ll394l to Iwagami discloses a display item that may be worn as an accessory, with a capsule for containing the ashes, hair or teeth of a deceased loved one.

Brief Summary of the Invention

[9] It can be seen by the forgoing that a need has arisen for a toy for enhanced sexual pleasure that contains personally meaningful, significant items for greater emotional stimulation.

[10] To this end, disclosed is a sex toy containing personally meaningful items, comprising a shaft substantially phallic in size and shape with an internal, hollow channel in which the personally meaningful items are held.

[11] The personally meaningful items, such as jewellery, locks of hair or ashes of a deceased lover, are contained within the internal channel such that when the sex toy is inserted into the vagina or anus, the items are essentially inside the user.

[12] An advantage of the present invention is that it provides not only physical sexual stimulation, but emotional stimulation, enhancing the experience and sexual pleasure overall.

Detailed Description of an Embodiment

[15] In a preferred embodiment of the invention, shown in Figure 1, a sex toy containing personally meaningful items is disclosed comprising a shaft 101 substantially phallic in size and shape with an internal, hollow channel (not shown) in which the personally meaningful items are held.

[16] The shaft 101 is shown in the drawings as being tubular in shape, substantially following the size and shape of an average penis as with a traditional dildo. However, it may be provided in any range of sizes and shapes as appropriate and desired such that it may fit into the vagina or anus of the user. One end 102 of the shaft 101 is rounded, to provide an easy grip.

[17] The shaft 101 is shown in the drawing as comprising a series of ridges 103. These are optional, but are designed to provide greater pleasure and stimulation for the user.

[18] The shaft 101 is ideally formed of blown glass, as is widely known in the art. However, it may alternatively be made of any other material suitable for making sex toys, including but not limited to acrylic and silicone. The shaft 101 may be formed of a transparent material such that the contents of the internal channel may be seen from the outside, or alternatively the material may be opaque.

[19] The shaft 101 may be decorated with precious stones, diamantes or any other means of decoration 104 known in the art, as shown in the drawing.

[20] The shaft 101 comprises an internal channel or chamber within its centre. The channel may run through the length of the shaft 101, or a smaller section of it, depending on the size and shape of the items to be held inside. The channel may be adapted to contain personally meaningful items including, but not limited to, jewellery, locks of hair, samples of material from the lovers clothing, and ashes of a deceased loved one.

[21] Ideally, the item to be held within the sex toy would be sealed inside the toy during the manufacturing process to ensure that it cannot fall out and become lost. In this way, it may be that the user sends the item to the manufacturer for sealing. For example, if the toy was formed of blown glass, it may be that the shaft 101 is partially formed, the internal channel filled with the desired item, and the item sealed inside as the formation of the shaft 101 is completed.

[2211 Alternatively, the toy may be provided with a detachable lid (not shown) that may be attached to shaft 101 using a snap-fit mechanism, a screw top or any other suitable means known in the art. In this way, item may be removed and replaced at will.

[23] The toy may be provided with a display stand (not shown), so that it may be displayed when not in use. The stand may comprise a base with a vertically-extending column. The column may comprise a horizontal ring of the correct diameter from which the toy may be extended. The display stand may further comprise decorative elements such as feathers, sequins and the like. Similarly, the toy may be provided with a rigid case for storage and protection, and the case holding the toy may be suspended in the display stand rather than the toy itself.

Claims

Claims 1. A sex toy containing personally meaningful items comprising a shaft substantially phallic in size and shape with an internal, hollow channel in which said personally meaningful items are held.
2. The sex toy of the preceding claim where said shaft is formed of any of the following: blown glass; acrylic; silicone.
3. The sex toy of any preceding claim where said personally meaningful items are permanently sealed within said shaft.
4. The sex toy of claim 2 where said shaft comprises a detachable lid through which said internal channel is accessible, such that said personally meaningful items may be removed and replaced.
5. The sex toy of any preceding claim provided with a display stand.
6. The sex toy of any preceding claim provided with a rigid protective case.
